AS my passport has less than a year validity left.....i got it renewed .....so as soon as i receive new passport, should i send a mail to Colombo Embassy and inform them about the new passport details ?

Reason I am interested is I have the same issue. I also have a passport which will expire soon.
Kindly help !!!
Shall we wait for MR to come and then send all info together ?
Or shall we send the new passport information to Canadian Embassy in Colombo pro-actively ?

Guys,

it is advisable to get the passport renewed so that visa stamping could be done on new one. Normally the passports are now renewed within a week post successful verification.

i did the same thing, you can always notify the VO regarding the new passport via email & also send a scanned copy for confirmation once it is received. Take it easy this is nothing to worry about

Today I got RPRF, IM5669 (background check) and PPC request for India.
Surprisingly I submitted all original PCC along with application but still they ask for new one.

No intimation or message for MR. Is this normal that MR follow seprately after RPRF mail..
my time line:
Application: 16th Oct
PER: 19th Jan
AOR: 9th March
PRPF request 11th June.

Please advise on medical part if any one came across in similar way.

its normal. MR follows in a separate email sometimes soon after RPRF mail someetimes after a few days.
you applied in October which means your pcc is more thsn 6 months old so thst its invalid and need to provide a new one.

these days colombo is working between 25 march to april 7th aor applicants
recently 12 dec applicant got second line update on ecas and 26 nov applicant got medical....

so u will get update by tomorrow or next week surely.

I think u should update the Vo regarding this as u have to face problem later on

i also got only RPRF request Today

DOnt worry we will get early

PCC if they demand send them again no need to worry...

today I received MR almost 24 hrs from PRPF.

It seems from these updates that currently October and November Applicants are getting MR and Non of the December applicants (Whose file has reached in December Month) has got MR......is there any body? any December Applicant who has got MR from Colombo Visa office?
