Hello Everyone,

I purchased CAIPS notes for a detailed explanation of my Visa Officer's decision. They did not give me a point in adaptability since my husband was not able to finish his post secondary education. On the application i sent, there was a letter i made explaining his ongoing technical course in welding. Now, he just finished it last June and we can provide his certificate/diploma.

Do you think, sending a letter of appeal will help my application? I only lack 2 points Will it be through email or courier addressed to the designated Visa Officer??? To summarize, my application was received by the VO and i already got an AOR. :'( :'( :'(

I would really appreciate for any inputs. Thank you.

hi everyone, im the principal applicant. yung medical ng hubby ko june 25 lang nasubmit ng nationwide sa CEM due to various medical clearances (endocrinologist, opthalmologist at nephrologist). Until now wlang email or changes sa ecas ko, in process pa rin. almost 1 month na nasa CEM ang medical nya. Pag 1 month na at wla nmang email ang panel doctor or CEM for further tests, ibig sabihin ba ay nacheck na nila ang medical at ok na yon? Sa amin ng kids ko ay since May 5, 2011 pa nasa CEM.

hi psychnars, i checked my status just now and it still says "In process" and I have never received any info on the exact date that CEM received our med results. We had our medicals at Nationwide Makati on May 24 and Nationwide advised me thru email that they sent it on June 14 (hence you see that date on the spreadsheet). Anyway, I have been obsessively checking my status everyday (hehehe) and not once did it say "Medical Results received". I was actually worried already and this letter that was emailed today was a surprise. I thought we will have a problem because my common law partner (principal applicant) has quite a medical history. But I guess it's true what people have been telling me that no matter what sickness you have (even cancer!), if it's not infectious in nature then you will not be denied.Isn't that awesome?!

Basta just hang in there and I bet yours will come soon. Just keep on praying - I think i've never prayed this hard my whole life! ;D Nakulitan na yata si Lord sa kin....hehehe

hi love20, no destination yet because it will all depend on where the work will be. Ideally we want to get a job offer first before we settle in Canada - and hopefully we get a job before the expiry date of the visa. If not, we might do a short landing first. Anyway, I will let you know once it's definite by the way, am i not a member yet of the FB group? Let me check...

As for the submission of our passports, we can only do this sometime in September since we had to renew our passports last month (from green to red passport) and it takes 3 months if you applied for renewal from another country (remember the DFA backlog problem with passport renewal in May-June?.. grrrrrrrr....). We will submit ours as soon as we receive the new passports and i will update you.

by the way, i would like to thank you and Westpoint for doing a great job in administering this forum, spreadsheet, and FB. You are helping so many people by doing this unselfish act and i'm sure that SO MANY GOOD THINGS WILL COME YOUR WAY

if you are still holding a green passport, you have to renew it to the red one with the microchip. This is the passport that Canada "strongly recommends" for us to submit since it is the one compatible with their system. Actually our green passports are still valid until next year but since we don't want to encounter any problems at the last stage of the processing, we decided to get the red ones.

what stage are you on now in your application? If malayo pa then i suggest you renew it to red.

Sabi ng DFA staff hindi daw nila irerenew kasi 2013 and 2014, respectively, pa ang expiration. Pero red passport pa din sya at machine readable din naman. Mas luma nga lang ito compared sa bagong red passport ngayon na may microchip pa ???. Meron po ba dito sa forum na nagsubmit ng red passport sa CEM na machine readable tulad ng sa amin pero walang microchip na sinasabi ng mga nakakuha na?

Yup! rhmanalili is right, you dont have to worry for as long as it's red The green passport holders however should renew it kasi i think the last batch of green passports was issued almost 5 years ago and it is really due for a renewal next year. So if you're holding a red one , then no need to renew it at all
