I am very worried and have sent my application 2nd time to NS? My lawyer is very lazy and not giving any response and saying its normal mistake and I would not be rejected due to imcomplition of above referred column.

Kindly suggest?

Hi, if your are meaning you didn't fill the "Visa Office" in the imm0008e generic (Permanent Resident Application Form. It is for sure it was rejected and it is in the way back to you. I am talking because I wrote wrong the Visa office in that application and they sent my application back (I wrote Canada instead of Buffalo). I suggest you to send another application (with that error corrected) as soon as possible.

Hi Guys,

Just as a side comment, the first time I sent my forms to CIO was April last year, they came back to me within 2 weeks; after I corrected the forms I re-send them on May and they again came back to me 2 more weeks. I finally sent the forms one more time in June 08-2009 and they gave me a final response on July-27-2009.

I have been following the time frame that CIO is handling and I will say that the average time to get a response from them is around 10 weeks.

Check the times from other participants in this forum under other topics and you'll see.

Ankit_20, that email address doesn't work. I have tried sending an email a month ago to them and it automatically bounced back. I think, they have converted that email ID to more like a one way automated email. It looks like, it doesn't accept incoming mails. Hope this helps.

Dear Reet,

In tax saving bonds & Investment, there is a lock in period. Hence i advise you not to show them.

If u r in India then they will consider
1. "NATIONAL SAVING CERTIFICATES"
2. "PUBLIC PROVIDENT FUND" and
3."BANK's TAX SAVING FD"

But they will not consider 'Mutual Funds'. I can assure u.
