Seniors...plz guide...

Last month while shifting my home, I lost my National ID (NID) card. Last week I made the GD & applied for the lost NID. They are pretty quick as I got it today. I thought the NID will be the same as before. But the problem is, with all other information unchanged, this new NID number has 17 digits, and the original one had 13 digits. The new rule is, they added my birth year (4 digit) just infront of original 13 digits NID no.

Now question is-
1. Do I have to inform SGVO about this new NID.
2. Do I have to make a new passport with this NID and then inform again to SGVO.

>:( >:( >:(

Dear brothers/sisters, has any of your employer been contacted for experience verification ? If yes pls let us know how...mail, phone or visit ? pls share ur experience which will help all of us..best of luck

Brother,

I dont think U need to do any action point for this....

And ofcourse no ques for new PP.....Dont even dare to think abt this...

Some of us have some misconception (BD applicants) that our MRP PP contains NID number....

But PP does not mention our NID number....

Its the "PERSONAL NUMBER" which is kept same exactly as NID number....

So people whom does not match their NID with that specific number cant know that their NID is same as PERSONAL NUMBER...

So stay clam and do not worry for this....

For new applicants:

Generic app form has been updated.

New form have removed the Immigration office ques.

My first +1 goes to Ashif bhai...no wonder you deserve it and thanks for the info... ;D ;D ;D

1. I can apply from SG Visa office right? What is the exact name that i need to indicate in the form? Use recent updated generic form. There is no field to mention your VO.
2. The actual form will be sent to CIO office in Canada right? Yes, right. At 48 Dorchester Street.

Thanks

Thanks century but on generic application form for canada IMM0008 question 4 says immigration office requested for processing of application...the answer should be "visa office in singapore" right?
