Has any Singapore-based applicant submit required documents to the SVO via regular post? Has anyone encountered problems using this service?

Finally After 379 Days of submitting FSWP Application I got the mighty Maple Leaf Visa today..

Thanks everyone for the enormous support..I wish everyone gets the same result as soon as possible :)
Congratulations brother! I am still waiting for my passports to return 6 weeks after submission. :-[

Tried to apply for GCMS notes but my transactions were unsuccessful though tried for 3 times as the payment merchandiser requires card verification which is not available with my card provider. Did CIC get the GCMS request information though payment was unsuccessful?

Zstream ,emarald, vduller: How many days were you given for pcc submission ? Was it sixty days? It was sixty days for me so I reckon the bring forward date of my file is after the expiry of sixty dates which is may 18?

I was not asked to submit pcc as I provide it my original application. For me it was 30 days for mr, landing fee and photos.

Ohh.. really, does it work that way? My pcc expiry date is 17 May.

Anything to look for on the passport before submitting to SGVO?

.... one of my colleagues has received a serious objection from SGVO after submission of Passport and given only 30 days to defend himself with whatever documents he can supply. Otherwise, they said, he would be rejected and will be inadmissible to Canada for next 5 yrs.

Hi brother,
Thinking about what you wrote previously. It is intimidating to know that such things can happen even after submitting a passport. It seems your colleague is a frequent flier, but I have to wonder why SGVO became upset after receiving his passport. I thought about it and came up with 2 possibilities.

1. At the time of submitting his FSW application, on the travelling history form, he excluded a country from the list of countries he had visited.
2. While his application was still in process he got PR to UK/Aus/USA and visited that country to complete PR formalities but did not notify SGVO about it as a change in circumstance.

Pls let us know if something similar happened to him. Thank you.

We were given 30 days.

Hi Guys,

I got AOR from SGVO at 24 March, No 2nd line/MR update till now. BTW I have visited some countries recently, do you think it is necessary to inform them about my visit?

Hi Bro,

I am agree with your points and want add something here either it may or not ...

1. There might be any visa rejection which was noticed in passport but it may overlooked by applicant.
2. There might be an objection from anyone against that passport of passport holder.

....

Be patience... you will hear it very soon.
You don't need to inform VO about your new foreign travel after your application.
If VO will require any further travel history they will come back to you till then no need.

Thanks Samrajjo.

One more query, After DM do they ask for new passport only or old/expired passports as well?

I received AOR from SGVO on 30/04/2015.

What is the average time to get MR from AOR?

It seems we are trying to throw in a lot guesses here. The visa officer is upset when he/she feels that there is an intentional misrepresentation. The reality could well be just an oversight or truly an intention behind it. The 30 days is provided for the applicant to prove the former scenario is correct. Else, it is the latter which causes the inadmissibility.

VO only send a notice for submit passport with the below note for new passport issue -

If you or any of your accompanying family members currently holds a valid temporary resident visa, study permit, or work permit for Canada in an expired passport, please submit it with your current passport.

 To submit your passports, follow the instructions below for your country of residence.

You must comply with the above requirements within thirty days (30) from the date of this letter. Failure to comply with these instructions may result in the refusal of your application.

IMPROTANT NOTES about Visa and Passport Validity
You should ensure that everyone in your family has a passport valid for a minimum of 12 months from the date of the most recent full medical examination. Visas can only be issued to a maximum validity of 12 months from the date of your most recent immigration Medical Examination (IME) assessment. If your family has medical examination on different dates, the validity of your visas will be 12 months from the date of the first assessment. If any one of your passports will expire before 12 months from the date of the medical examination, your visas will expire on the date of the first passport to expire. If your passports will expire soon, it is your interest to obtain new or updated passports to ensure your visas are issued with maximum validity.
