Dear Friends,
I have a bad news for FSW 2014 applicants. SGVO has increased the maximum processing time from 28 months to 41 months. See the link below: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/skilled-fed.asp#asia

Hello Guys,
I have received PER on 17th November and AOR on 29th December 2014. Application received date 17th july 2014.
But My 2nd line is not updated yet. My NOC code 2171.
I have heard that 2nd line normally updates within 2 weeks.
Anything to worry about my update status.

Do not worry about the time line vary file to file. My app rcv date 7th May, 2014. AOR rcv 100+ days. Still no 2nd line update. So many May & June applicants still waiting for 2nd line, MR, so join us and keep waiting.... :) :) :) :)

Don't be upset bro,

The processing date start from June 26, 2010,
If you calculate it is been more than 56 months till now.
If the VO can finish work within 41 months means now they have to finished files who were applied in Oct-2011 which is 41 months from today.

Assuming they have to finish all of pending file ASAP because of EE otherwise file will be pill-up more than 10,000 which are all together pending till now in CIC.

2014 file processing is faster compare to any previous year before EE starts.

:) :) :)

Also consider the fact that EE is tough. SGVO will get less number of applicants in that queue considering the job offer thing.

This is not an increase in that sense. This is the actual average of months taken to process applications from date they were received. Considering that they approved many 2011 applications just this year, the average must have moved from 28 months to 41. I am trying to figure out a way using that information, to see what will be the average processing time for FSW 2014 applicants. Let me try to get that.

Rick

If you received AOR then it should be Singapore Visa Office

Can you tell me what is the processing fee if someone pays it from Canada?

Thanks for your encouragement and hope. But waiting is still frustrating. Anyway we should hope for the best and we all will get our PR visa soon.

If anyone residing in canada or PR or Citizen of canada apply on behalf of you it will cost CAD 5.

But if u apply through 3rd party (http://www.gcmsfile.com) it will cost CAD 30.

After May 01, 2014...This is the processing time. In case of Singapore, it is 3.6 times faster than the CIC website mentioned before.

Hello Rick,
you are right. As per reference CIC employees were on Strike since Jun'2013 and if I am not wrong it continues till Apr/May'2014.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/notices/2013-06-11.asp

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/canadian-immigration-worker-strike-t150764.30.html

Usual processing time is 28 months plus strike of around 10 months. The calculation will be by default 38 months..

However I have read somewhere Current Immigration minister handle the strike and after that all application processing becomes faster.

Lets hope the duration will be minimized even more.

Hi Shibly Bhai,

Thanks for the valuable update. Can you please share any source info where you found the strike is now over and things are on the move once again.
