I just changed my job before application, so I am now under probation period of my company policy and I could not get any letter from my employer. Also, my current job is not related to my NOC so my agent told me it would be okay if I did not provide with the letter of referenec of my current position.

But from the list I saw someone got rejected because he is short of current job letters. Now I am very worried about this and I think my agent did not get things right. Did you change the job and did not offer the letter?

Hi All,

I have question, I am a 3rd year PhD student in Quebec and I have total scholarship of worth CAD 30k per year.
I am applying under the PHD Category. DO I need to provide the evidence of settlement funds?

I read people who are already in Canada don't need to show the Settlement funds?

I appreciate your reply.

Hello everybody,

Like many others, I filled-out all the forms, including The Schedule 3 form on August 18. I sent the application on August 19 and it arrived at CIC on August 22. When I filled the Schedule 3 form, it was the August 13 version.

Do you think they will take into consideration the date it was printed and dated, the date I submitted it or the date it arrived to CIC in order to consider the form old and reject the application? Should I send the new version of the form with a cover letter?

Please advice guys.

Thank you.

I have never come across a case where an application was rejected because of such reasons. The VO will request you to send an updated form post file transfer/AOR.

No issues in your case.

Thanks nishesh3003 for the re-assuring reply!
This atleast will keep alive the hopes of some of us who are in this situation.

Hi,

Just for the information of fellow members.
My application was rejected because of incorrect amount in fee payment form.
Instead of 1400 CAD I mentioned 1300 CAD.

I really felt stupid of me.

I resent application on 3rd September.

So please take utmost care while filing out forms.

Good luck.

Regards,
Ash

So sorry to hear about this! But best wishes for the second application.

And thanks for caring and sharing your inputs with all!!

Best wishes.

Hi Everyone, I've got a question. I'm spouse of PA. In my 5669 form, I ignored an employment of 2012 accidentally because it's short period. I stated unemployed for 2012. However, I found PA sent the Y12/13 salary tax return form as supporting documents for working experience. In the form, it states "Spouse's Income" in a separate line without showing the employer's name. Will I be returned for that mismatch? Please suggest... Thanks in advance

I have not heard of settlement fund for PhD students in Canada. You are running the PhD in Canada on full scholarship...that puts you in a comfortable position that you have the wherewithal to finish the PhD. Relax You are ok.

Hello Friends,

I am 14 May applicants but still not get PER though my DD was already encashed.

I have a small doubt on this. My date of birth is 30 June 1979 and last June I was 35 completed.

Since my application reached on CIC on 14 may , I was 34yrs 10 mnths running. Will this
be a reason of rejection in my case?

I have calculated my age below 35 and my total point was 67 with this. If CIC calculate my age
as above 35 then my total point will be 66. really nervous.

Please suggest if anyone has faced same situation.

No. Age is calculated up until the date of receipt of the application. Age will not be a factor for your rejection.

gocanada2014. CIC will calculate your age as at the day your application was received by their office in Nova scotia. You are 34 as far as CIC is concerned. relax

Hi Aspin -

Could you tell us how you calculated 1400CAD?
You have two kids???

550 +550 + 150 + 150 = 1400CAD??
