Hopefully 2017
I applied in Oct'14 for 2171.. when it was capped I applied for 2172 and I did not have original IELTS.. In the Generic form it is mentioned that if the Original IELTS TRF is with CIC you can submit copies.. Still idiots in CIC returned my 2172. I had a covering letter in which it is clearly mentioned that my previous application is with CIC along with courier no date recieved passport number etc.. Service is pathetic and I cant even demand an enquiry why it was rejected..

i just got to realize the importance of main duties in the reference letter
i applied as the university lecturer. the letter includes 4-5 main duties mentioned in the NOC the more important of which e.g teaching to undergraduates and research were mentioned in the letter.
do u think it is enough or my file would be rejected?!!!

they usually say that it should match around 60-70 % of the duties and responsibilities of the total numbers mentioned.
How many pages of reference letter have you provided. Have you mentioned at least 20 duties.
And it depends on the official

I provided 2reference letters and 9contracts. The contracts don't mention main duties. My noc states 9 main duties. My reference letter include 4-5

What is the reason for returning your file, they might have replied back by mail.

oh ok. That's the reason. Noc responsibility list given on the website is just a guide only. We should put around 15-20 at least. I put around 30 on mine. They must have find yours inadequate. contract letters do not need jdr

[/quote]
But even if it is matching also, the list was too short to deem that the application jdr matches with the noc.
There is an unwritten rule that jdr list should be long according to the number of years of experience

It's not always advisable to put around a lot of JDs in the ref letters. What's important is you were able to capture the lead statement of the NOC and the main duties mentioned. As far as I remember, Diplomatru only put 3 main duties in his ref letter.
In fact, putting a lot of JDs may increase the risk of your ref letter becoming more qualified to another NOC.

My application was recieved to CIC on 11 december. In my reference letter the numbers of hours worked per week was missing. Will it be any issue? Can i send a new reference letter now. Moreover it was writterm on my reference letter that m a permanent employee and in my pay stubs no. Of days worked in a month is given and my employee status was given which is FTE. Please help if i can do anything now
My reference letter did not mention working hours nor full-time but I still got PER. For sure you will be safe regarding that issue. But it is very advisable to make your ref letter complete to be very safe.
;) ;) ;)

his case can be random. I am talking about experience in the field working with the condultancies I hsve seen so many rejections because jdr is short.

Totally agree with you. But it is more important to have one's JDs matching with the selected NOC and capturing the lead statement than having numerous JDs.
