Any one applied on FSW 2014 and opted for New York Visa Office ?

I selected new york visa office as I am in the USA , my PER date is feb 2nd, have been waiting for AOR from NYVO .

I selected new york visa office as I am in the USA , my PER date is feb 2nd, have been waiting for AOR from NYVO .

CPC-Ottawa processes all the application for Canada & USA. So you wont receive AOR from NVYO, instead you will direct receive MR from CPC-O.

Only application(only from CPC-O) which requires interview are processed at NVYO as CPC-O does not conduct interview.

My application was initially processed at CPC-O initially but later transferred to NVYO for interview purpose and from there on my application was process at NVYO.

I am currently living in CA, USA. I Have received Passport request from CPC Ottawa. I read in the forums that it is illegal for an Indian Citizen residing in US to send their passport outside of USA. As a result, I emailed CPC Ottawa to make arrangements for printing my Visa in the LA Visa Office. Have anyone of you encountered the same issue ? How did you go about resolving it ? Since, CPC Ottawa has granted me just 30 days to send them my passport, I am getting worried. I sent them an email on the 7th of April and still waiting for a response.

1. You are probably wasting your time. It is illegal to mail Indian passports in/out of INDIA not the US

I'm going to submit my passport to NY office and just wonder how to pay the visa application fee. I just arrived in the U.S for couple weeks so things here are still new to me. I appreciate if you would give me some advices.
