Reading some posts on this forum, I find I have the impression that many people here think Express Entry is going to be straightforward, like if we missed the cap in FSW we will apply in EE and that will surely work...does anyone really know for sure if EE IS in fact straightforward and attainable??

EE wil be straightforward if you can score higher than majority, ie. 75+ or you can get a nomination. Someone who falls below cap and gets PR with 67 now, will find it nuch more difficult with EE.

EE is more competitive ..... THEY will invite you to apply ONLY if they THINK you are POTENTIAL added value to their work market.
SO they gain more control, you lose it. Now, you control when to apply, make sure you are early enough to fall in cap , ..etc.
In EE, it is a black box you do not know the criteria inside or whether they even opened your filled profile

EE looks like a Selecting FIT for purpose .. And it does not look like a rat race like in FSW14 where who comes first is served...So If you have competency nobody can stop you...Also you may get a job offer which is kind of very good..

But my problem is I am working for my Indian company and I do not want to resign but take transfer to Canada.. Not sure if it help me or I need to switch jobs..

I am with same company from 9 years and have been fortunate to be blessed by a good support.. It would be very difficult if I am forced to leave my company.. I may drop EE if I have to leave my company..

We are getting all kinds of contradicting reports, ie. a 4 sep applicant was returned due to incompleteness.

Happy to say my DD was cleared last Nov 13. I am an August 6 applicant under NOC 2173.

My application under NOC 2171 was received by CIC on 23rd Sept.
Is there any chance that I have made into quota of 1000?
Is there anyway that I can know if I am in quota or not.

Same question here. I ahve known a friend also that is 2174 applicant. When that NOC got close, last charge was Jun 19. His application was received June 20 and he got his PER couple of weeks after. I hope same thing will happen to us. God bless us always.

My application reached on sept 4 for 2171 and really crossing my fingers now for a CC charge to be made.

KSA beg to differ sep 2nd app is no indication of september applicants being in . See what happend to 2173. August applications are being returned.

CIC has changed strategy , or at least with respect to hot NOC's..so we can assume that the count is as per the last day charged.

When he was charged after the date of 19th Charge. Did he got any notification of charging or directly got the PER..?

2173 Aug 19 application returned. Did not fall in cap of 1000. Received package back.

I know this is real bad news for many. Sorry. Lets do it early next time.
