Thanks...now this is what I do daily ..do the math...to my surprise confidence level is only going down. Well dont intend to be pessimistic , only if I had come to know of the category sometime in February March 2014.!!!! I would be having my PER with me now!!!

FSWP 2014 was launched by CIC in May 2014

you don't do the math daily because that will make you more worried and depressed. This is not the end of the oppurtunities, you can start preparing for Express Entry 2015 and try your luck then.

I am going to apply under 2172.. My WES report is saying my bachelor is 4 year equivalent Canada degree and my master degree is mentioned as Master's equivalent of canada....

Now my question is, I have read somewhere that for 2172 CAP bachelor degree is required If it is correct then Would I be getting points for master degree or not i.e master degree gives me 22 points and bachelor degree gives me 21 points....
I need 22 points to make 67...

While I would really want my application to be accepted, I really doubt if that would happen . according to the global spreadsheet cic is currently clearing files of June 2014which I guess is mid June. So they have updated the count of 311 till say 15th of June for noc 2171. Keeping this as base if you do your math chances of September applications going through are bleak. At the most applicatons that reaches cic in the first week of August might still scrape through. Having said that truly wish for some miracle to happen.

Though these are just estimates, but I feel with the number of application received coming down after June, NOC 2171 may possibly cover September and few days of October. In 1.5 months i.e May-15th June it has counted 311 applications, if the number of applications remain steady for the month of June and July we can safely assume another 300+ application which means by the time August starts CAP would be somewhere around 600 for 2171. Now after July since the number of apps have gone down in next 1.5 months i.e Aug-15th Sept it may reach around 800 and for the rest 200 spaces we can assume another 2 months which takes this NOC to end of October.

This is just a plain estimate based on apps filled so far for May-15th June. Anyone has different thoughts, please share.

This is right estimate as till date on an average (38,39,37) applications have been accepted on weekly basis for 2171, even if we take 40 per week, we have 1 week of june, 4 weeks of july and august so thats total 9 weeks lets take 10weeks and that is equal to (10*40=400 apps). till now 348 apps are approved so thats (400+348=748) so its like around 750apps by first week of september. hence there will be 250 apps left to hit the cap and that will be around 250/40=6 to 7weeks so this will be 2nd week of October 2014. Hence september is valid period, this is an estimate.

yes EE is definitely on the cards if things dont work out this year ...also one of my friends want to apply under NOC 2172 category..now.He has all the docs ready. Does it make sense? He should be ready with docs in two weeks

He meant, you had mentioned incorrectly while taking 1.5 months equation...it should be 30th JULY TO 15TH SEPT.
