Thanks a lot!

No, I did not send any documents after the files were transferred. I already submitted my PCCs along with my initial application.

I guess my application is pretty much the most straight forward you could expect - all docs already submitted, no dependents, I am working with a very large and well-known American IT company with a public employee directory (so it was easy to check for them whether I am really employed there), so in the end there is not so much they need to do background checks on.

Just one week after my second line update, I got my ME request a few hours ago. Will do so in the beginning of April.

Can anyone recommend me an eMedical enabled panel physician in HK?

Thanks

Nothing happened on my side. But quite a lot of applicants from July, August and some from Oct got their MEs last week.
Hopefully it's our turn soon.
Good Luck

Right, I did my medical exam last Thursday in Central, HK and was told that my results should be available and uploaded to HKVO early next week. It usually takes 4-5 business days but due to the current 5 days holiday period, I will need to be a bit more patient.

I hope that no further tests will be required and that I get RPRF and PPR by mid-May. Would like to land in early July and still need to give my current employer a one month notice period.

Wish you also all the best and quick progress on your application!

Hello everyone!
I have been following this thread whilst waiting to hear back from HKVO. I am a October 22nd applicant and received PER January 26th. I would be so grateful if someone can help answer some questions for me please.

When can i expect to hear from HKVO based on my application timeline?
How do I hear from them? Email/phone call?
What is the process after hearing from them?
Is it possible to fail a medical? (I have no medical conditions)
Any ideas when visas will be issued based on my application timeline?

Again, I am so appreciative of any help. Thank you!

Hi Waiwera,
the total cost is HKD 2100. It took overall 90 minutes to complete the exam.
Overall, they did the following tests:

1. Eyesight test
2. Blood pressure test
3. Blood draw for HIV and Syphilis test
4. Urine Analysis
5. Chest X-Ray
6. Physical examination - they check for things like skin cancer and ask you a few questions regarding previous medical conditions

After this, it takes 4-7 business days until the laboratory gives its feedback on the blood test and the results are uploaded to HKVO.

If the last thing that happened for you was that you received PER then the next thing that will happen is you'll get an e-mail from HKVO saying that they received your application and it has been placed into the queue for processing (AOR). You can probably expect this within a month, but don't worry if it takes longer as they seem to work in bursts.

After that, it's possible that you will be contacted for further information or an interview. But assuming all is in order with your application the chance of this is low. Most likely the next step will be you will receive an e-mail requesting you to take your medical exams and send in your police certificates. You can expect this roughly 6-12 weeks after AOR. After you complete medicals, assuming you pass all the exams, you will get a request to submit your passport and pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (PPR). Times for this vary widely because this is when they run security checks. It can take as little as a few weeks after your medicals but for me it was 4 months.

Once you submit passports you'll have your visa within 30 days.

You can look on the spreadsheet and choose the apps by VO and average processing times for more info.

As a conservative estimate, assuming no problems I'd be surprised if you didn't have your visa by October 1. It could be much sooner.

I've received a correspondence from HKVO for the submission of police cert today. Should I expect my medical request will come soon?
Could any one please advise the average time between police cert and medical request for your application? Thanks!!!!!!!

Hard to say as before they were requesting police certs and medicals both in 1 e-mail (as they did for many of us). If they do security checks first before they ask you for medicals it could be a couple of months. If they run concurrently it could be sooner.
