You're correct. It is not a good idea to send passport across the border. It's a document which has to be with oneself at all times, especially when they're outside their home country!

I saw in this thread itself people interpreting that since US,Canada belong to NorthAmerican continent--this rule does not apply. I felt they were wrong but I did not explore the Indian passport rules and regulations until I got PPR/RFV yesterday. There is no point in messing around with Indian officials at the airport when I visit India as they are crazy, dumb and corrupt. Its better to just follow their rules

You will get medical request very soon.

RPRF means you application is approved by VO and you need to submit the fee of Right of Permanent Residency fee.

I WAS ASKED TO SEND THE RECEIPT OF RPRF AND ANOTHER FEES TO THE GENERAL EMAIL CPC-CTD-OTTAWA @cic.gc.ca.....AND NOT THE OTHER ONE THAT CONTAINS RETOURMENTS AND FARIS AT THE END....
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IS THE DIFFRENCE?

Finally, this process is coming to an end. Sick and tired of US Immigration system, even though I have a well paid job of 80K, there was never peace in mind. I was running after this US green card for the last 7 years. Ruined my mind. The politicians in US are to be blamed, employers and attorneys taking advantage of this situation. So happy this mess is over.

· Go to the website: https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/welcome.do?lang=en

· Read the instructions on each page, and click “Continue” to proceed

· Select the “Immigration” link, followed by “Right of Permanent Residence Fee”

· You must pay this fee once for yourself as principal applicant and your spouse

· Enter the number of fee payments (1 or 2) in the box beside the fee of $490

· Click “Submit”

· Proceed to pay your fees by selecting “Pay” and then follow the instructions to pay with a credit card

Once the payment process is complete, the web site will display your official receipt in PDF format. You must send the receipt to CPC-O.
