Thank you again. Now I understand. Unfortunately No, I don't have GCMS notes, I didn't order them yet.

What's stopping you? They are very informative. Lots of stuff to read.

It can sound stupid but I am afraid to find something there what can make me worry more than now. I am worried about my file now but if I find out that the officer is not happy with something in my application I will be getting crazy.

Depends on many (and I mean it) factors.

To name a few:

1) security screening is sent in batch and received in batch. They don't send requests to CSIS in between. IF it didn't make it, the file is waiting the next batch dispatch.
2) due date on CO desk. The CO can bring forward the file when security screening is received or wait until due date. Totally up to him/her.
3) when finally CO marks all assessments as completed the file is queued for final review by IPM. And that is a long line.

To sum up, if you are lucky, the file moves quickly. If not, all of the aforementioned combined can delay your decision made by 100 days or more.

Thanks +1

I only hope to land before 31st August, 2015, before my study permit expires.

After graduation you can apply for Post Graduation Work Permit that will give you at least 1 year of legal status in Canada.

Best wishes everyone!
My police report reached CPC Ottawa a few days back. My wife's police report has already reached them. What happens next and what are the general timelines?

I think they are sending out PPRs by batch as well. In the last two months they sent out PPRs from day 9 to day 13. Let's hope we are in this next one, Diplomatru!!! ;D

I stand by your observation Dittmar.

If, say, 50 screenings arrive in batch, and consequently the COs clear the files they are assigned to for final review by Case Management Branch, Assistant Director (this is the title of IPM at CPC-O). When AD clears the batch, CPC-O goes into hybernation again.

do we need rcmp clearance too??as i heard we dont need to submit canadian pcc?? :o :o
