Not sure whats going on man. There are other people waiting too. I don't think CPC-O is processing cases in any order - it seems random.
For myself its 97 days since PER now...

Ms.reannox and NP26,

Thank you very much for very important information. I will patiently wait for next step. Thank you for the support as always :)
Grace,

NP26 is correct. Since you are from a visa exempt country, it is not necessary to issue a counterfoil to your passport but instead you will just get COPR. Here is the CIC page where their operational policy is laid out:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2011/ob348a.asp

;D Congratulations!!! It sounds like your dream may be coming true very soon! ;D

Dear :)

I was researching about COPR and I wonder, should I expect to receive COPR in a mail or Passport Request through e-mail?
I am from Poland - Visa (tourist) exempt country

Anybody knows???

this is what I found on other forum:

If the applicant is visa exempt and you've heard nothing from the office, the decision would normally be a positive one. That's because the issues that give rise to a negative decision generally require giving the applicant an opportunity to address them (part of procedural fairness).

DM in a positive decision means the COPR has been issued. It's possible in visa exempt cases for it to just show up in the mail. The applicant should watch for it (hopefully he hasn't moved. Forwarding is the enemy of immigration paperwork).

That is why Diplomatru was asking me about mail not email...? But Diplo USPS at night??? 8) unless you personally will deliver :p
Congrats Grace and all the best for ur future in Canada!!!

Honestly, each case is going to be different, some may be easier to work than others depending upon the individual circumstances. That said, I'm sure that there is a human factor involved too. If you've ever managed people you know that some workers are better and/or more efficient than others. It may partially depend on the efficiency of the officer to whom your case is assigned.

It is bureaucracy at its finest. 8) :D

Hi everyone,

I seriously need your advice

I received the MR, PCC, RPRF on Feb 19th,
and after submitting the medical, I got a letter two weeks later requesting more medical examinations.
To make it quick, I have done everything they asked for and the doctor will submit the results by tomorrow.
My problem here is that, my current work permit in Canada will expire on July 7th.
So should I apply for the extension visa (bridging) or should I wait?
Do you think if I sent email to CIC explaining this situation, would that be good or not ?

By the way, I have latent TB and will start treatment, but the doctor said that it should not affect the application.

I would really appreciate your advices here ;)

Hi,

I am currently in the US & received the Passport request for Visa stamping for my family. I have the following questions:

1. Should I send, both my expired & current passport or only the current 1.
2. It is written: "If you do not submit a return prepaid Xpresspost envelope or if you provide an envelope from any other courier, we will return your passport by regular mail" - From US, Am I supposed to send them 'Prepaid return courier envelopes'.

Thanks

THEY ARE ASKING PREPAID CANADAPOST SHIPPING LABELS OR ENVELOPES --NOT COURIER ENVELOPES

Hope this helps

Hey guys, I just checked my ECAS and it shows decision made. I do not know what to think right now. I only replied to CIC on May 11th to withdraw my EE application and its only 3 days later.
Whats the chances of it being positive?
Whats the next step if I am from England?
Thanks Kenny

I recommend applying for a bridge work permit since your PR application is at an advanced stage you should be able to get it. If you lose your status in Canada that will affect your PR application
