My ecas also shows two addresses now - permanent and current. Seems like a general update for all the applications.

I see one address only(current). I have different address in generic form (Current and Permanent)

Second line: 21 February, 2015.
Still.......NO MR ?

My passport was to expire in August 2015, and anticipating MR I got it renewed in last week of December 2014. Then immediately on 31/12/14; I sent an email in this regard to NDVO, attaching the first and last pages of new passport. But no reply or acknowledgement from NDVO.

To be on safe side, on Feb 19, 2015; I sent a notorized hard copy of these pages to NDVO. Still no reply or acknowledgement from NDVO.

PLEASE advice, whether it will affect the process of PR.......
If no, then its OK. Otherwise what should be done?............please guide..........

I had a similar situation. My passport was getting expired on Sep2015 and post my MR and RPRF i got a call from the VISA office. He suggested that I should renew my passport since the validity of the COPR will be shortened. Hence i went for a passport renewal, which i duly sent to the Passport Office.

Now i too havent received any kind of acknowledgement from NDVO, but from my discussion with the case officer I am assured that its part of a normal process.

The only expectation that i might want you to tweek is that a change of document may add to the processing time.. Not tht my PPR is far due but I am still not the first one to get my PPR in my batch...hence i perceive there is a delay , but nothing concrete.

Each bank has a bit of different whim when it comes to getting a refund for a lost DD.
Usually, it's done post the validity is over and the DD is still not enchased.
I had lost one long time back and it was from HDFC.
Post 90 day's I had to give an indemnity bond and in 10 days I got the money back in my A/C with a minimal cancellation fees.

The support provided by all the members is remarkable. I actually needed a tip on how to get a NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from NDVO. To comprise the long story in short my DD (53.4K) for RPRF has gone missing somehow at their(NDVO) end. I have send a second DD towards RPRF, which has been encashed by CIH. As per RBI guideline, I need to submit a NOC from the beneficier and on the basis of that NO OBJ. CERT. the bank will return me my 53 k.

All suggestions are truely appreciated.

If the assumption of VO working on files is correct for all who has can see both address on ecas then this would also be an indication that would confirm you are next in the line........

I dont think it is generic not all have reported this but only few from different VO have reported the ECAS showing two address.

Lets wait and watch whether this is a good news or a news for delay ... all the best !!!!

We are open for suggestion and comments and assumptions.. at least this way we can keep the forum alive as not much action from NDVO .. there is little action but not as last week.... i think its lunch time for them and after that a storm or hurricane of updates for people waiting ...... all the best to all

I too had same update if it is one; having shown the two addresses from today on wards.

One is of my consultant's address and the other one is my current correspondence address which i was residing till last month and i had to change the house since it was rented.


The concern is; Do i need to update the change of current home address to cic?....whats your opinion.

Y u had to get a new DD. U shud have tried to get a replacement for missing DD anyways u need to email NDVO explaining the situation

Im in dire need of help, i'm very very confused... i got my PER on Jan 2 (couldnt update SS bcoz of work and marriage)... and then i recd. an email from Visa Section in Warsaw Poland confirming they recd. my application (again confused) i mentioned NDVO as my VO in my application.... i just got married on 8th feb and i have no idea what all i need to do now to add my wife to the application...i also need to change just my residence address (mailing address is still the same)..... please help i beg.... i will be immensly greatful to you....

No need to worry...do send cse to your visa office nd update your marital status...they will reply you with updated forms, marriage photograps nd payment for your spouse...you should have enough funds for your spouse also
Meanwhile apply for passport nd pcc for your spouse...

They may ask you to send marriage questionnaire and marriage photographs again at later stage...

It may delay your case ...so have patience...

Request for MR and PCC date: 25 Feb, 2015

I need guidance for PCC. I have stayed in Punjab, UP, Delhi for work purpose for more than 6 months. No stay outside India. Now I am in Bangalore for last two months.
The letter issued from CIC, suggests me that I need to do PCC for me and my wife and send it to New Delhi visa office. Following is the exact statement from Letter:

" From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original police clearance certificate from India for you. This must be received at this office by 2015/04/11"

Please suggest, do I need to collect PCC from each state like Punjab, UP, DELHI, Karnataka... One of the agent told me that only last one year of PCC is needed if you are staying in India. Another said no from all states. It is very difficult and almost impossible to get PCC from all states and that too for previous residences.

What is your experience. Any help/suggestion will be great.

Just For an ack regarding ECAS:



Seems CIC has added one field on application online status (ECAS). They are now showing Home address and Mailing address (If both address is not same) on top of the webpage. Its a good update....

This is for your information. So no need to worry for this. I guess many of u have similar changes on the ECAS...

Very glad to announce that 3rd line has been updated today: Medicals have been received!!



Medicals were done on 26th Feb, documents sent via FedEx the same day and received on 28th afternoon by NDVO.

Get one PCC from your nearest location. this is enough
