Hello,

First off, let us say how disappointed we are that we didn't come across this website earlier. Had we known of this link earlier, we would have saved ourselves a lot of confusion and worries.

Anyway, we've been granted PR under and are planning on flying out tomorrow. Since we don't have any relatives in Canada, we're plan on staying in motels / hotels until we find a more permanent accommodation. We know that when you enter Canada immigration will ask for an address to which they can send our PR cards to. Since we don't have an address at present, can we give the nearest Service Canada address and ask them to send the PR card there and collect it later?

Thanks

You can go. should not be an issue. You must be having docs of name change (whenever it was done). Need to carry those along with your marriage certificate.

dear many thanks. yes my husband has name change document affidavit but he didnt change his new name in any documents. thans the problem. such as his name changed from XXX to YYY as per affidavit, only marriage certificate shows the new name YYY but in PASSport COPR, his driving license renain as XXX.... how to handle this?

Notarize photocopies not required. Please do not forget to send copy of the pdf (email) notifying you of the Medicals and RPRF. That goes unnoticed. Even I had forgotten initially and had to send separate courier.

I've received MR on 02/Feb and exams done on 13/Feb. Just waiting for the PPR now! SPVO is too damn fast! :P

For any NOC 1111 still waiting to be charged either CC/DD...best advice is to quickly explore Express Entry as NOC 1111 was capped before Nov..here is a mail received by an October applicant from his lawyer yesterday morning.

NOC 1111 the game is over for for federal skilled workers 2014 I received this note from lawyer who based in Canada this morning it read thus.
I regret to inform you that we received the return of your application on February 20, 2015 with correspondence dated February 13, 2015. A copy of the correspondence is attached to this message.

Although your application for permanent residence was submitted to the Centralized Intake Unit on October 30, 2014, and CIC never indicated that the quota for NOC 1111 filled prior to January 01, 2015, your application was returned as it was received after the maximum 1000 applications for your NOC code had been accepted for processing within the Centralized Intake Unit.

No need to send notarized copies of passport. For your reference, I am sending you checklist of docs ...

Covering letter
PDF request letter sent as part of Medical email
RPRF fees paid with your name, DOB, Client ID written on it
Passport first and last pages for you and dependents
PCC Original

Best of luck...
