Brothers , I need Experts Opinion in a very Urgent question..

I know that if I got the visa ( hopefully in-shaa'allah ) it will be valid for One year from the medical receiving date. But, what If I won't be able to land during this period, what if I've very serious issue that will delay my landing ( I need around more 3 or 4 months .. just 3 more months )?? can the CIC extend the visa for 3 more months? even if I'll have to pay for the Visa's fees again, I don't mind to pay again..

what will happen if I didn't land in this 1 year period? will they cancel all my immigration process and my dream will be gone?? or will I have to do the medical exam again only ? or what exactly will happen?

I need your Help please.

Ur Visa will be cancelled and u will have to re-apply for FSW/EE etc.

So u will have to land in between this time by anyhow.....Whether it can be for one days....no matter....

I have transferred my savings account to fixed deposit in the same bank and branch, both have diff account number. When I submited the app, I gave my savings account proof. Should I inform visa office about this fund transfer??

Hi Annie, I think you must tell this to VO. Because, if at all they check with the bank on your POF, surely they will call up tell your saving account number or any unique number from the savings account proof that you have submitted with application. It need not be the same branch where you have done the transactions. It may be the main branch as well. Then unknowingly if the person who takes the call checks your savings account and say there are no funds ryt now...it may become a problem.

But, ideally it is advised not to play around with the POF until we receive passports stamped with VISA...as per my knowledge.

I got this info from our Andhra bank - Manager. We have FD with AB and we thought of taking some loan on FD. Then he advised not to take loan because, if CIC (VO) calls main branch and checks the details, they will tell there is a lien on account which may affect the process.

There is no harm if you write this to VO and give the new POF (FD certificate copy)

Dear Friends,

I'm happy to report that I now have the Canadian visa on my passport

Now that I have your attention, let me elaborate before you jump at a July applicant claiming to have the visa

I have received a student visa and will be travelling to Canada in the first week of March. My PR application still remains in process. I'm done with medicals and am waiting for the eventual PPR. I will ofcourse stay glued to this forum and will report on my experience in Canada.

Nope it is allowed.....Just write the address of ur frnd...Then CIC will send ur PR card to that address...

And later on ur frnd will courier it to u....

Many forum members had done it earlier....So dont worry at all!

Looking at time they take to process cases, it can cross two year. dsnt seam logical for anyone to block so much money for so long. what if some one needs that money in emergency. I v also seen VO's asking for updated POF's in later stages along with MR.

This is just my opinion. i dont think they will reject your case for transferring ur own money into ur own a/c. afterall its your money.

They won't reject. They will just put a query to you...about the updated or latest POF. So before they ask better we send it....to make the process going than making it delay for such simple issues.

However, you already have good knowledge of how it works . Good work
