Hi ...I got my 2nd Line updated as Medicals Results Received...instead of it being 3rd....is it normal..?
When possibly I can expect PPR after this?.LVO...any idea

This is something new. Strange are the ways of CIC / VOs. Did you not get the 2nd line update before or just after MR ?
Possibly your background check is not initiated yet and still you got MR which sounds a little weird. In case they didn't do it before, they might initiate background check now.
Else they must have just forgotten to update your 2nd line ECAS status and directly uploaded 3rd line as medicals recd. ;D ;D

Very few VOs are issuing AORs this year. Most of the VO's have discontinued AOR issuance. AOR is "acknowledgement of Receipt" of application at VO.

Once CIC issues PER, it sends the application to the respective VO. Once the VO receives the application, it issues AOR to the applicant. This may be around a month after PER. SGVO still issues AOR for sure.

Nice summary...just one doubt...does NDVO again asks for PCC (may be during MR etc as someone mentioned in forum) even if original PCC has been submitted at the time of application. If yes, is it a must that they will or depending on some scenarios...cause in my case it took very long to obtain PCC when submitting my application. It will be hard to obtain it again at short notice.

If the PCC you had submitted with initial application was less than 3 months old at the time of initial submission, then in all probability, you will not be asked for PCC again at the time of MR.
However, if CIC feels the need for fresh PCC, for any reason, they may ask again, but chances are one in a thousand.

How could you miss that? Address was clearly mentioned on the document request letter sent as part of medical request email.

I did not miss that...the envelope you give to the courier company is further placed in a bigger cover....and tht cover gets a label printed by the courier company...I wrote immigration section on the main envelope, but the covering packet, blue dart omitted "Immigration Section"...and it was received by a person, instead of with the embassy stamp...

Every stage has a different scrutiny parameter. Application may be rejected at any stage. However chances are much lesser after PER issuance.

In simple layman's terms,
First step is completeness check where apps are checked to see that all docs are in place.
App is charged on successful application.
First line in ECAS is updated.
Next is eligibility check where apps are checked on the basis of the 6 eligibility criteria and points calculated.
PER is issued after this if app meets CIC standards.
Next the App is transferred to the respective VO either by hard copy or electronically or both.
VO then does app scrutiny one more time, background check and security checks.
2nd line in ECAS is updated.
If applicable, applicant may be called for interview.
Then MR is issued subject to satisfactory completion of background checks.
Applicant undergoes medical tests with panel physicists.
Once positive MR results are recd by VO, 3rd line in ECAS is updated.
Security checks if any are done.
Passport request is sent to applicants.
4th Line in ECAS is updated
Applicant sends passports to VO / embassy for stamping
Passport is signed, stamped with COPR and sent back to applicant
Applicant has to complete landing formalities within 12 months of MR..
Thank you for your good info
just one question?
Fee payment is after MI check or before that
thanks

I have used an agent for FSW process.
She has ripped me apart as far as the process goes and even money wise.

She is still expecting more. I am done with medicals in October. I was waiting for FBI PCC to be send to NDVO.
What should I do ?

Hi Seniors,
Can someone please comment on this ?

I heard that if one has applied for FSWP in 2014, and also is applying for ExpressEntry, chances are that they might cancel one another ?
Is there any such possibility ?

Eagerly awaiting a reply !

Regards,
Andy
