Dear All,

Greetings!

I have applied under NOC 1111, CIC received the application on 1st August 2014 and charged my CC on 13th November 2014. However, there is no formal communication received from the immigration dept. I have applied through an agent, there is one issue happened in application, the email id which was created by my agent, got deleted by itself and now it is no longer recoverable. My agent later created another email id and informed CIC about this.

I am bit worried now. I also called the call centre number but the agent said they have no access to FSW applications. I have no clue what should I do. Please provide some insights on this issue.

I had my 2nd line update at 27/12/2014 as "We started processing your application on December 24, 2014."

All related info. are at the left hand panel.

I have a query my last name is misspelled and I sent CSE to Cairo VO but no reply at all and no amendment has been done at ECAS. Any other suggestions to get that mistake corrected?

Yeah we have already seen that the charging has been already reached upto October 22 before CIC closing off for holidays thus, i guess you are very near to your charging. I suppose, tomorrow is your day. ;D

how did you know that your VO is cairo not ottawa??
if cairo it is closed due to security reasons

1. passport can be renewed later. even u can get visa on it and apply for new later

2. u may send both pcc now- no harm. if they asked for his, can process urs too.

I have read on the forum that they ask for 6 months valid passport for visa stamping. I was wondering to get my passport renewed now and send with my spouse passport as requested by LVO. Also i believe they mention passport number in PCC

major differences in the upcoming Express Entry are -
1. More favorable to candidates below 30 years of age
2. Higher IELTS/TEFF scoring candidates get very high points
3. No point for having relative in Canada
4. Married candidates need spouse ECA and IELTS/TEFF to get points

Systems in Canada are tightening, which is why I think New Zealand and Denmark will be next options for those of us who can't get into Canada

Interesting, I don't think they are tightening. Under the list-29, I would get 65 points with my current skills and abilities, and would be ineligible for processing. Under current system, I get 69 points. Under Express Entry, I get 458 points - we are yet to see the first draw and the first passing mark, but as far as I can see, my points are pretty high in comparison.
From my point of view, for me personally, immigration gets easier.

It has always bugged me - how come I know the language and can't immigrate anywhere. Well - now I can! (Well, at least I can try and hope ;D )

I am not sure whether it is Cairo or Ottawa

But Cairo is not closed for clerical work, it is only closed for public services like authentications and issuing official papers.
