CIC is super slow these days...........any chance to receive my PER by the end of this week?? 22nd Aug applicant here, keep waiting waiting waiting..............
 
Dear Seniors,
Now i m really worried. Not received PER mail. Application Received on 18th AUG, CC Charged on 18th NOV but PER is not yet received. PER comes with in 14 days after charging of CC. :(

My gut tells me that you are going to receive it before Christmas.

Yes, One of my known guy, who was in same problem as he was required by his company to travel but his passport was with Canadian embassy for visa stamping. So first he sent an email to VO showing why he needs his passport and then he went to VO with the documents provided by his company that he is on a project which demands his travel and bla bla.... and it worked for him. May be you can try it by providing some evidence that you need to travel and u need your passport.

Who told you that? It is sent between 1 week to 1 month from cost recovery.

Hi,
I m 18 Aug Applicant, CC was charged on 18th Nov.. Not received the PR till date. I have seen one post in which PER is received for on 30th Nov and his CC was charged on 16th Nov.

Thanks for the quick reply bro. But most of the cases in this forum got PER with 2 weeks after CC is charged. Lets put finger crossed.

says " we have started processing your file on 28 november".

Plz tell me what do they do now? And also plz tell me what steps
I take next. How much time they take to move to next step?

Plz help?

You are welcome.
If you observe the figure in 'charts' section of the SS you will see that there is a large discrepancy between applicants' timelines for receiving the email. There are a lot of thread members who received the email one month after cost recovery. So don't you worry and better read the disclaimer below :)

Whole PR process, and in fact life, is all about waiting for that next step, next success, isn't it... wait for PER, wait for MR, wait for ECAS update, wait for PPR, wait for passport with visa... and when one reaches Canada, wait for PR card, wait for 1st job and so on and on.... Wink Cheesy

Don't worry, I am sure you will hear some good news soon and this experience will develop a lot of patience in all of us :-)

i would say its too early for u to wrry....check the spreadsheet frnd...it took even 20 days for some to get the PER after getting charged...so sit tight.....expect it on next week........ good luck :)

It's been some time since my last status update. Good to see that lot of friends are going to soon join us in Canada. It is beautiful now a days here, with intermittent snow fall and festival mood.

We can say that we are now almost fully settled with both having regular jobs, having moved in a new house with new furniture put in and having our cars - the three major struggles of settling in Canada seems to be achieved now.

I am not writing this to boast about myself or anything, this is to boost confidence in friends who feel doubtful about settling process over here. I think the only people who have lived in countries like US and Australia will find this place a little bit lower to their expectations. Other than that its nice to be here. You got to embrace the short comings and learn to deal with the culture here.

Initial few months are slight stressful but every one gets past it.

All the best for friends who are in process of landing or getting their PR. Next year seems to be even better with minister announcing faster track (they do every year :)) for processing apps.

Dear seniors and forum members,

My application was received on 31st July 2014 and received PER on 25th of November.
But I had applied USA couple of times. Once for a student visa on 2008 and other for tourist visa on 2012 but visa was refused both times.

While applying for FSW 2014 I did not mentioned about it in schedule A background/declaration form 6 (d)
Now should I wait from NDVO if they inquire me about it.

I didn't realize to write about it at that time and even to send an email to CIC immediately.

But I had applied through consultant and I was been to do this saying on the Canadian lawyer.
Even to make my doubt clear, I had mailed again to them and I got response from them saying

Hello Pradhan,

Thank you for writing us an email.

We will have to wait to hear from the case officers as there is no such provision of providing any
changes of circumstances while the processing of your application.

There will be positive response from their end, so not to worry.
