Hi, either u will get PER email soon or somehow it was missed, I was reading this forum but a different topic that few people did not get any PER email from CIO. They did not even get info from call centre (which gave them UCI), finally, they contacted VO directly after a month and the reply was 'we have received your file and file number Exxxxxxxxx on xx-xx-xxxx. No action is required from your side at this stage'. So no worries... I think your PER is almost confirmed.....only in one case where an applicant claims that his ECAS was active for a while and disappeared and got NER. I dont know how true it is, I never saw any applicant, apart from this case, reporting such thing.
Thanks pg123, I am feeling much better!

It's hard to concentrate while waiting for PER but if you try to focus on your translation the time will pass faster. Good luck and share your good news as soon as you get them:D
I will! For sure!

What I don't get is how they will be able to archive the huge amount of foreign workers they say they need......
They won't, unless they started inviting people with really low points.

That would actually be nice, cause the current wait time is ridiculous.

I think that basically they are closing down federal economic immigration stream with this EE system. I cannot imagine a Canadian employer hiring a foreigner and enduring 6 months wait time until he lands. Occasionally they will pick someone, but the intake will shrink to hundreds. Consequently, PNP streams and QSFW will be overwhelmed soon.
Hi,
Six months for the applicant getting PR doesn't necessarily mean the employer has to wait for 6 months for the foreign employee to land and start working.
They can apply for work permit first which takes much less and start PR application later. The new system is nothing but a copycat of Australia's EOI, since in order to hire a foreigner, an employer still needs to get a LMO which means the determining factor is still within the hand of CIC.
What we will see after the EE launches is that few applicants with Arranged Employment will definitely get in, but a overwhelming majority is still the ones without Arranged Employment who can score higher to get in.
Nothing but Australis's EOI ironically named EE.

You can certainly express your interest to apply without any job experience. But it is almost a guarantee that you will NEVER be invited to apply for PR if you don't have any job experience.
Not exactly,
in order to be qualified to enter your data into the pool, one needs to meet certain criteria.

Hi to All,
I have applied under Phd stream in June 2014, today I got and email from CIC with following

"This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:
1) Employment Reference Letter: Please provide a letter of reference from [****Names of employers******] indicating hours
worked per week for every position you held with these employers. This must be received at this office by: 2015/01/01.

2) > Funds, proof: Please provide updated evidence of funds which are completely available, transferrable and unencumbered by debt or other obligations.
Evidence of account activity for the past six months must also be submitted. To find out the amount of money you need to support your family size of 3 persons, please refer to: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp
This must be received at this office by: 2015/01/01.

"
Here are my questions

1) Is it enough to ask my previous employers to only include number of hours worked per week to the reference letters that they already have sent to me or I need to update those letters altogether and need to add more information

2) I have around $12000 in my account as POF but as a family of three I need to show around $18,097, I can borrow remaining money from someone. On the other hand after I applied for PR, I got postgraduate work permit and now I am also working in Canada and has a full time permanent job. Is borrowing money gona affect my chances or the visa officer will consider my job and exempt me from POF.

I will be very thankful for any help in this regard.

LMIA application is not fast though... And is not worth the trouble for 99% of employers.

The big difference here is 190 visa, which is an independent immigration sub-stream. EE is like EOI 189 visa under which applicants are selected by Australian states and employers.

Hey folks...
I got my PER on Nov 6th and so far no e-mails or ECAS status changes.
According to SS the average time for SPVO between PER and MR is around 27 days.... So I think I'm still under the threshold.
But just to be safe.... Can someone please let me know what is the e-mail address that normally triggers those e-mails?
Thanks a lot!

Hi everyone,

I have been an addicted yet silent one for a while, apologies but I had nothing to contribute...since there are so many knowledgable folks.

File recieved Aug 5th, Noc 5125, CC charged Nov 15th. My ECAS status shows 'in process' ..application recieved Aug 5th. I have UCI as I am already in Canada. But I have not recieved PER email yet. Should I wait? Prepare another package ASAP (I wouldn't know what to correct)? or prepare for EE?
Your valuable opinions would be very much appreciated.
Thanks
Hi Mayke,
Nothing to worry about, i experienced the same thing with you, my ECAS showed "in process" a couple of days before i receive PER. it's normal, sometimes(not always) data is entered before PER is sent. i'm sure you will receive it in this week.
best regards.
