I got PER on Sept 26th and checked ECAS status....but now cant open ECAS...it says "This web page is not available" again and again.

Pls advise ..if this isusual and is happening with other applicant as well.

I'm not sure exactly how much credit he will receive, but I think 1.5 years for the 1.5 years full time, 1 year for the 2 years half time (but perhaps 16 months for this, because typically 30 hours is considered full time and 20 hours would be 2/3 of this amount) and between half a year and 1 year for the year that depended on classes taught. Any way you slice it, this probably amounts to 11 points on the FSW application for 2-3 years of experience. To get 13 points he would have to get credit for a full 4 years which seems unlikely here. Please note that to get credit for the different time periods, make sure the reference letter is very specific about the working hours during each different time period so CIC will not have any doubt or difficulty calculating it.

Thanks so much for your help. Another question even though he is applying for NOC 4011 He has also worked 3 years as a chef, will they count those 3 years as experience?
The restaurant he worked as chef closed, so they wont be able to give him a reference letter with letterhead. How can these reference letter be done? Do we have to notarize it?

but no per email till now.

If your DD is cashed, you would definitely get an email either if it is a PER or NER. Are you sure you have updated your email correctly, can you check the same in the photo copy of your send app, if you have it.

In all likely hood, you would get your PER soon or already got it but could not be delivered to your email, or probably lying in your junk box.

You can send an inquiry to CIC and they will get back to you in 4-6 weeks.

My PCC application reached FBI on Sep 16th. They charged my credit card on Oct 8th. I will update this forum when I receive the PCC.

Yes he can get credit for this. I suggest obtaining a reference letter from his supervisor or fellow chef or anyone you can, preferably at a higher level than he was, who was in a position to know his duties. Make sure the letter explains how the writer was in a position to know your husband's duties and explains that the restaurant no longer exists so an official letter would not be possible.
