Hello Everybody, as I can see lot of people getting impatient in the forum, I would like to share my timelines. I am currently in Canada and had applied for FSW in March 2010. At that time there were no CAPS in any of the NOC;s and there were many more NOC's.

We received your application for permanent residence on March 30 2010.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter (PER) on June 29, 2010.
Your application and supporting documents were received by the Singapore office. They are pending review.
We transferred your application to the Singapore office on July 6, 2010. The Singapore office may contact you.
Your application was reviewed and we started processing on April 24, 2012.
A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

You Entered Canada at the Lester B Pearson Intl Airport on Aug xx, 2013 and became a PR.

You can see there was nothing in 2011. They just went silent for one year. Have patience guys... the system is slow but ca'nt help it..

Her Indian birth certificate in Hindi was not having any name. As she was in Singapore, I told her to get Birth certificate from Indian Embassy in Singapore which they have refused to accept. Now she is trying to get if from India...:-(

But during my time (2010) I had submitted the Birth certificate issued from Indian embassy in Singapore and it was accepted...So no idea ..:-(

BC must be translated to English if it not written in English. As part of sending the file both must documents must be accompanied together. Otherwise, file will be rejected. So, your sister's BC could have translated before sending to CIC. For tourism, I don't think these are not required. Moreover, I am not sure if she is a Singapore PR.

I don't understand how come some of 9th june getting per others not? which category have you applied?

The issue with her Indian BC was NO NAME.. there was no name written on the birth certificate.. it was blank.. The one issued by Indian Embassy in Singapore was in English.. I have no idea why they refused her BC when I had submitted BC issued by Indian embassy in 2010...

Yes bro, these days they dont accept Embassy cert...How long would it take to get her BC from India, if it is getting long time to get processed, get the existing one translated and prepare an affidavit from a Lawyer saying the name is not provided on the BC and the BC is your sister's......Her original BC, Translated, Affidavit put together can serve as BC proof.......

There are many Notaries in Singapore, Even i got an Affidavit for Spelling correction on the BC...I heard and hope it works...

PER : 2nd Oct [9:17 IST]

Case where CC was lost and new CC was charged. BC for spouse not sent [sent hospital acknowledgement of birth instead]. Sent translated BC again which reached CIC a couple of days ago.

I just called up DHL customer care. As per them it has been received and signed by Mike. Not sure why his name is not coming on online tracker.

Now, Since i did not provide BC for myself and my wife... not sure if my application will be accepted... though i have provided "declaration" from parents along with school certs + PAN/Adhar/voter card.....

but still not very confident !!! :-X

My application was accepted by Mike when I sent the application for the address meant for Postal Services instead of Courier. I did not send my wife's birth certificate. Instead I sent the hospital acknowledgement of my wife's birth which had her name and parent's name. Then my father in law found her BC and I translated it and sent it which reached CIC only a couple of days ago. I lost my CC and sent my new CC details!!! Still my new CC got charged last week

AND TODAY I GOT MY PER!!!

So relax buddy. Just make sure that the school certs have parent's name and DOB on it. If not send another package with proper BC. Anything is possible!!! All the best

DD encashed date: 25th Sept
PER date: 2nd Oct

I am provided with the UCI number in a mail, can I use it to track the status of my application ? Whats the role of my local Visa Office after the issuance of PER ? How long does NDVO take to respond after the PER ?

Hello Folks,

Hope you all are doing good! I have a quick question, I am on a Temporary Work Permit in Canada since Oct-2013 & applied under FSW14 program. CIC received my application by Sep-08-2014.
Now my problem is that my current work permit is expiring in the next 10 days & I am still waiting for the application # so that I can file for the open work permit (bridge work permit).

My question is, Do CIC process In-Canada FSW14 application faster than outside-Canada applications? Or please suggest any other option available in my condition..

I would really appreciate your time & opinion.

Well the journey has been nice so far...The only mistake I did in Canada was I landed in Toronto.. I am oil & gas professional... I should have landed in Alberta...

But I have some relatives in Brampton so I thought it would be good for me... but no, when it comes to finding jobs I believe ALBERTA is the place for all oil & gas professionals.. Toronto is overcrowded and is good for IT professionals...There is too much of talent already in Toronto market. Brampton is "PUNJAB DAA PIND". There use to be days where in I couldn't see a single GORA .. ONLY PUNJABIS...

Fortunately, I am in Calgary right now working with an oil & gas company. The journey is all about learning and sharing best practices... Please prepare for an initial struggle for couple of months... please stay away from those people who will say that you will not find a job in your industry....

Just remember try and try.. there is no way you want to go back.. YOU HAVE INVESTED TIME, MONEY in this.... MAKE IT WORK....
