Hi,

I have renewed my wife passport (old passport had father name behind her name, so we filled forms according to passport name), I also attached the bank balance and FDs ( according her after marriage name). We also send marriage certificate to CIC.
Can I send the new passport with my name? If yes, do u think I should filled main form again according new passport name and signature?

My file reach on 8 july and my passport already expired on 20 september before CC CHARGE .
Please suggest me, should I send my new passport and her renew passport as per marriage name.
I have UCI number

so for now as I got confirmation of my dd ecashment I would like to share few things

Mistake : I photocopied my whole set of papers just before sending my courier and later in mid of August while rechecking photocopies I realised additional family info form for applicant was not there .
I was shocked
There could have 2 possibilities
1: photocopy vendor guy missed my single page form while making photocopy and my original form gone with file .
2: my original form left with photocopy vendor itself :-\

As I was not ready to take even 1 % chance I sent additional info form again to cic with all th details and after delivery confirmation of additional document ( by dhl) I sent email with all the details including screen shot of additional document's arrival details ( on 28th August )

Though I dint get email reply till now but I m sure my file is complete for now ( as I got charged now)

Moral of the story: I recommend to keep one full set of photocopies of your final file but after making photocopy please get that file back home re-check everything , seal it and then courier .


P.s. I dint send my kiddo's passport with file ( included 150 cad for the same though) will provide at later stage.

In Short : Before you actually place the Document Bundle inside the envelope and Seal it, do 1 final proof read of the entire set.

Yes, something similar happened with me too. After going through the photocopies, I realised a page was missing from the Background Declaration, so I had to go back through, re-package, re-seal and send.

I would therefore advise everyone to do this: "Before you actually place the Document Bundle inside the envelope and Seal it, do 1 final proof read of the entire set."

I'm a july 29 applicant , i just realized that my passport expiry date is 03/03/2015

do you think i should do something after i receive my per ? coz when they are gonna request my passport maybe it would be the time that i should reissue a new one?

Your passport should at least be valid for 6 months on the date of visa stamping. If your passport is expiring soon, kindly get it re-issued so that you are ready with new passport at the time of PPR. You can inform the local VO about the change in your passport no.

If you think passport re-issue would take time, like month or so you can apply for re-issue right away. If its not going to take much time, you can wait till PER.

I am still repaying the mortgage ...pending loan amount is quite substantial
Is it mandatory to get the evaluation done for the property? And submit evaluation with application?
Or can i submit evaluation when they ask?

12-May is the latest date but previous date MRS are also being rolled out in parallel.
