Factor 3: Work experience (maximum of 15 points)

You will receive points for the number of years of full-time paid work (or the equivalent in part-time paid work) you have obtained within the last ten years. Full-time means at least 30 hours of paid work in one week.

You must have at least one year of continuous full-time, paid work experience (or the equivalent in continuous part-time work) in the primary occupation you specify in your application.

In order to receive points for all of the jobs you have had over the past ten years, your work experience must be in one or more occupations listed in Skill Type 0, Skill Level A or B of NOC 2011. Follow the Determining your NOC category instructions above to find the NOC 2011 category that matches your skilled work experience over the past ten years.

If your friend is in Bangalore why did she not check upfront for good local consultants from the city itself? Was she not aware that Abhinav's HQ is New Delhi and this is how they work? Let me ask you clearly, is she a very intelligent person who does her research fully? Why did you need to again tell her about FBI PCC, does she not read the CIC site? Some people leave their burden on the consultants thinking they have hired one, so their responsibility shifts - as if the consultant is the applicant. That is just sad! :(

To your point, Manmohan Singh was a PM and so is Modi. But still there is going to be a vast difference in their ways. MMS was a fool, a shame to the country. I have a lot of Sikh friends, like very good friends. Most think he is a shame to their name LOL. Modi just by his initial moves till now seems to play at a much HIGHER level than MMS. He is perhaps more a comparison to Indira Gandhi, in the way he carries himself / authority.

My point above is, two clients can be very different. Many people come here in the forum complaining about their consultants, but one would never hear Future_Canadian or Shah2014 complaining about theirs. And I can bet even if ashif_eee or Century took a consultant they would never need to complain about them. You know why, because all of these guys know A to Z of the process (they don't leave it mostly on the consultant but take the pain of gaining complete knowledge) and will stay on top of things when dealing with consultants. None of them will provide even a little bit of leeway to their consultants for giving a vague answer, they will either whack their a$$ if they prefer my style LOL or politely get them corrected.

Yes, I have copy of my file. Why wouldn't I? :)
Well that's the irony right. Word of mouth, referred her to Abhinav and by their huge rush of applicants at their swanky offices, seals that belief.. But once money is exchanged most of this swanky office employees become complacent ;D
I absolutely do not doubt her intelligence and her capability on research, but in my experience some people don't go to the lengths of double research when they have paid for consultants and that's where I come into the picture, her nagging companion who keeps checking and verifying with her. 8)

I have asked her now to bombard their office demanding to have a look at the final package sent to CIC and also for the tracking number. If they don't respond, I think I will use your influence to push the case at New Delhi... :p ;) what say?

We'll I knew this all along, didn't think of mentioning it before, but many spoke about Abhinav, I thought it's only fair, I put the facts out in the open about their Bangalore branch... But again, I agree, each person should do their own due diligence in hiring a consultant and reading their application, irrespective of a consultant hired or not.

You only get points for eligible NOCs.

If you were a doctor for a year and an ice cream man for 10 then Canada isn't going to care that you were an ice cream man. Capisce?
and if ice cream man were to be part of NOC skill type O A or B ? CIC website states one will get points for all job experiences in past 10 years if job role is part of NOC skill type O A or B

Anyways i think there is ambiguity around it, if someone who has submited his/her application and needed points for his work experience in noc outside the eligible 50 occupations would be able to confirm if they received PER

Dear All, my job title is Senior Systems Administrator which lies perfectly with the corresponding job description of the 2281 NOC, however, part of my job is also administrating the SQL Databases with is of NOC 2172 but my title is not Database Administrator, do you think i should apply under 2281 rather than 2172 to be in the safe side, i'm speaking in regard of 113 approved applications in 2281 however 24 only in 2172. my job description letter from my company will show both tasks i do in the two NOC's, so how do you advise me?
appreciate your input here

Please don't spread misinformation and cause confusion. This has been discussed extensively in this forum and elsewhere. You will get points for all experiences in NOC O, A, or B in the past 10 years regardless of whether its's in the list or not (as long as all the supporting documents are provided).

Lol no offense taken buddy.. It's better to be frank and straightforward, than to be a hypocrite right? ;)

By the way, she did have to whack their a$$es off to get most of her clarifications while she was preparing her package... :'( I guess she missed the PCC part during her research, as it was an optional doc for initial package and after sending the package she got her uS state PCC, which when she asked them if it's sufficient, they just said, ohh should be ok, but why you are worrying about PCC now... ::)

You are right. As long as you provide all the supporting documents you will get points for occupations other than your nominated one. As you quoted above, this comes directly from CIC's website, no need to be confused.
