then why the application are being return for not being related to NOC ......
That's an entirely different issue. Applications get returned because you don't fulfill the duties of your nominated NOC. Remember there is a one year continuous, full-time paid exprience required for the nominated one?

Someone confirmed CC charged today, so may be that's the reason we are confused if CIC is working today
Credit card charge does not get updated real-time. Depending on the bank, there is some delay.

Hi Jammy,

I am also I the same boat, please let me know when your CC get's charged.

Tell me one thing, in case we don't submit the PCC by October 20, can we send them this confirmation that we have applied for the same and once received, we'll provide the PCC to the visa office?

Regards,

ashish

I think someone who has received PER and just about made 67 points after accounting for work experience in noc O A or B but not just from 50 eligible list, can settle the debate. But i agree with namaste from what we can read on CIC website it seems to suggest that you can claim points for work experience in NOC O,A or B

Yes you do, as long as the experience is in the past 10 years, and you provide all the supporting documents and evidence for those experiences (eg. reference letters with extensive job duties etc).

if yes why the occupation lists are being rolled out ............
Oh, wow. You need to really check CIC's website and read the minimum requirements and how FSW works to begin with.

Occupation lists = minimum qualifying requirement. If you don't have a minimum of 1 year continuous paid experience in one of the occupation in the list then you cannot apply.

NOC O, A, or B: for extra points. you don't need any experience in NOCs other than the one in the list. But, if you do then you get extra points.

I hope this is clear. And I won't be responding to you anymore since it feels like CIC's website will do you more good than this forum.

Thanks Scylla, o_o for your insight.

I am just being optimistic, and as a matter of fact I dont have time to arrange for documents and compile them so will hire a consultant and will study thoroughly for my IELTS to score 23 pts.
The gamble would be of Consultancy fees, but thats ok.
I am being too optimistic, but I truly believe the fact that optimism is essential to achievement and is also the foundation of courage and true Progress. 8) ;D

You fees for IELTS and WES are not lost as you can use these for the Express Entry. However, I strongly encourage you not to hire a Consultant, because as others pointed out, the cap would probably be filled in by then. Once you finish the IELTS in mid-October, please check back in the Forum for the status. If there is chance, I think apply on your own. In the worst case i.e. the cap is filled, you would get your application money back (not sure about your application), so from point of view of money you will not loose anything. I personally think Consultant are not helpful if you are capable of following instructions. You can spend on them if you have a good chance of making the cap, but if not, then avoid it.

I hope you realize that consultants don't do that. Even if you hire them, the job of compiling documents will be yours. You will end up doing 99% of the work yourself. Especially since you are in a time crunch, it is an even worse idea of hire them because there will be a couple weeks at the very least lost due to consultants in the middle. All you need is CIC's checklist and you can start preparing the application.

The are quoting a recent change by the RBI and the DD would be valid for 3 months only . Which Bank DD did u submit
RBI Guidelines are for local DDs only. Not for foreign currency DDs. They have done this for local DDs as people are converting black money in DDs and are trading in them by endorsement. My DD very clearly states it is 6 months. As far as my knowledge goes, all international/foreign currency DDs are valid for 6 months, issued in any country. The main reason being, some DDs take 1-2 months just for clearing, in case they dont have a tie-up with a local bank in the country where there is a local bank tie-up.

For ICICI, they have tie-up with Montreal bank. Hence, DD gets encashed in 2-3 days time. So, you might be in a safe zone.

IELTS Request
Sent with application
Friends,

1. I am waiting for my ECA which I will receive in a week hopefully. Besides I am also working on my PCC. Hopefully I will get that also in 2-3 weeks. So I thought that I will include the PCC also in the first application itself. I need to obtain PCC from Saudi where I worked for 5 yrs and also India. My question is, if I submit the PCC along with the application itself, is there a possibility that the Visa office (Newdelhi) will request to submit a new PCC again in the future in case if everything goes fine?

2. I am planning to get a DD through Thomas Cook. How can I track the payment status and know whether the DD is charged or not?

Ishak
