Dude don't trust those CIC agents. Half of the time they don't know what they are talking about. I have experience it couple of time. I ask them something, they tell me something and then I tell them this is what's written in xx place and they tell me ohh !! is that true then it must be like that.

Don't rely on what they told you. Better wait for application to return and check what is the actual reason. Without receiving your file back you cant even file an objection.

"9.1 All prepaid payment instrument issued in the country shall have a minimum validity period of six months from the date of activation/issuance to the holder."

Called CIC 3 times and got lucky the 3rd time.

Reason for rejection is: Language Test Results had expired

My IELTS was due to expire on 25th of May 2014 and my application reached CIC on 9th of May 2014. Then where is the issue. The document checklist states:

Note: Language test results must not be older than two years on date of receipt at CIO.

WTF just happened?

Is there a way I can question CIC ? Sue them for harassment ?

PS - I have rechecked, my IELTS was due to expire on 25th May 2014 only

There is no need to register with CIC, you can send the application package directly.

I have send hdfc bank dd for "Bank of nova scotia"
but when inquired about dd encashed or not in bank. bank says we can't say about it?
How we can know that dd is encashed or not?

You have to talk to manager, they have to send email to check status of dd.
it takes 3-4 days for them to track it down via multiple emails
