Hi,

I have applied to CIC on june 5,2014. Due to some miscommunication with the customer care executive, my Credit Card has been upgraded and the card whose details i have given in the fee payment form will expire after 60 days provided i dont use the new card. It is a HDFC bank credit card. Has anyone ever faced such a problem. Is there a method to change fee payment details with CIC.

My card will be valid till august 5 and i doubt if till then my file will be assessed looking at the trend.

Does anyone know if there is a way i can ask my bank to either extend the validity of my old card for another 60 days or i either ask CIC to accept new fee payment details.

Please guide if anyone has any knowledge. Its urgent.

Hi Again.

I am waiting for WES assessment. Meanwhile I used their degree Equivalency Result tools and I got the below result:

For - Bachelor of Science
Equivalency in canada - Bachelor's degree (4 years)

For M.C.A
Equivalnecy in canada - Master's degree

Could anyone please tell how many points I would get if I get this result?

Regards,
Sumi

No apologies my friend Oscar...!!! it is an unusual case so it got an unusual answer but I guess he should be fine

Thanks, harka for pointing that out. I just read his case; had skipped the details earlier.

I think in that case your suggestion may be a way out. I stand corrected! My apology! :)

It is just very unusual to not have an offer letter, experience certificate or anything of that sort. I guess can't call it professional experience then. So its up to him to decide how he wants to 'deal' with that. Ideally though one should not lie but his case is VERY UNUSUAL...so I'll just stay out of it. :) LOL

Brother,

Reason is nothing but the dirty discrimination by CIC and the lazy Visa officers of Singapore High commission of Canada....

They are now clearing 40 months older applicants with a very slow pace....

Canadian immigration ministers are so diplomatic...Beyond the imagination....They are telling Processing time is now below one year on their website whereas we are waiting for over and over.......

This is not just happening in Singapore but also in Accra and this has prompted me to write to the Canadian Minister of Immigration and Citizenship. The response was the usual processing is in progress, there's no discrimination of any kind, policies and operational giidelines have to be strictly adhered to and all that.

I still feel CIC has got a whole lot to do in terms of making its immigration process and procedures real time online.....Because many people are at their mercy, they don't seem to know the implication of a slow crappy system that is currently in place in most visa offices of the CIC.

The danger is,the "Express Entry" system to be introduced in January 2015 will probably tow this line. One would have thought and expected a balanced improvement.

The best we can do is to continue to wait and hope for the best.

I have Experience letter from my employer saying I have been working from ------------ to ---------- as (designation) at .................organization

and

I have Letter of Reference from my manager saying experience as well as roles and responsibilities.

Is Letter of Reference is sufficient or do I need to submit Experience letter also (as experience letter does not state duties)

Hi,
My application reached on May 9th. I have included a letter from my organization stating my period of employment and my designation. They have not listed the roles and responsibilities as it is not part of their policy. I have included pay stubs, increment letters, appreciation letters etc as supporting documents. Would this suffice or would it affect acceptance of my application. Please advise

If you have not provided the roles and responsibilities , I am afraid its not looking good !

You need to have proof of admission of at least one year in the country you are going to for studies, to select the visa office responsible for that particular country . Therefore in my opinion you have no other choice but stick to the Visa office which is responsible for your country of citizenship.
