can any of the forum members pls guide whether the mother(only living parent) can be considered as dependant.If yes under what category n what type.

we are applying for the immigration and in the process of filling the application.I have my wife and daughter filled in as dependants

I've noticed that there is a substantial amount of applicants from the UK. If I may ask, what's prompting those already in the UK to apply for PR to Canada? Is it better job prospects? Comparative ease in getting a PR? Better standard of living?

I'm asking because I'm a little curious ;D

Some applicants in crises stricken country in the last middle east like Pakistan are subjected to rigorous investigation by the Canadian Ministry of Immigration for FSW.They have been directed to choose London visa office to process their application package....hence,some are subjected to rigorous interview process to be sure they do not have ulterior motives in immigration to Canada.
The bulk of these applicants seems to be from the United Kingdom but are not.......Not a disrespect for Canada....no sane UK citizen will want to apply for an ordinary permanent residence card for Canada because it lowers the standard of the UK government.
I hope I'm able to trash out your curiosity.

Nope .

Only your wife and daughter can be considered as dependents.

But if you are worrying whether you can sponsor your mom in to Canada, then don't. Cause sponsoring parents at a later stage will not be an issue , provided you have enough funds in Canada.

8th May applicants can contact CIC as it'll be six weeks from then! That way CIC might think to work faster lol

i am also facing the same problem. Our applications must have been delivered by now but DHL staff will update it after one week, i might get to know abt my application tomorrow, i have been told dhl takes the services of Loomis Courier services which delivers packages of DHL. around the country and thus it takes time to update it.

I had the same experience with DHL. I sent my application June 9 and the last update I got was on June 11 stating " forwarded for delivery " location Ontario . I kept on calling DHL to follow up status of delivery and DHL only updated site and gave me confirmation on June 17. It took them 6 long days to update the site with online tracking . When they updated site on June 17 , it said there package was delivered and received in CIO Nova Scotia June 13 .

She can live with you on super visa. you will also be eligible to sponsor her after u get PR. you can go through the following link:

Hi All,

While filling the Background declaration form what if I do not fill in my name in the native language? Will it make a difference? If I send it empty will embassy send it back to me and ask me to resubmit it or will they consider it as I have written it in English in question number 1?
