I have done part-time Ph.D. from 2008 to 2013. WES have given equivalency to my Ph.D. Will I get the marks for work experience also during this period? If yes, then how to explain the contradiction of dates in the application forms?[/size][/size][/size]

What is the contradiction? Can you pls elaborate. Just note that while working, I have completed evening MBA and did not find any contradiction.

Hey Guy..quick couple of questions.

1. My sister is applying under FSW. She is the Principal and only applicant. She is married but she is applying alone at this moment. The question is does her spouse also need to fill Schedule A - Background Declaration and the Additional Family information forms as well or only her? The form says that it need to be separately filled by spouse and dependents but we are not sure if they need to fill even if they are not a part of the application?

2. SCHEDULE 3 ECONOMIC CLASSES form: What do we have to fill in section 11 where it asks about Assets, Liabilities and settlement funds?

1. Your sister needs to include her spouse and any children on her application whether they are going to join her or not, including filling out all forms and providing all documents on the checklist. If she doesn't include them, she cannot sponsor them later. It is also a misrepresentation. Her husband will indeed need to fill out the background declaration and additional family information form and provide the documents indicated on the checklist such as birth certificate, passports, police clearances, etc.

2. Assets are all your property including cash, home, investments, whatever. Liabilities are any debts. Settlement funds are the liquid and unencumbered funds you could bring with you to Canada in cash. This amount must at least equal the requirement for a family of the size of your sister's family under CIC's guidelines.

Dear seniors,

I am in a problem. My wes account is showing "Waiting for verification from Institution" from 28th May. I contacted with my educational institution for several times but they replied that they did not receive any request from WES.
I also contacted with WES but they replied that the verification request has been sent through e-mail, postal mail or fax
What should I do now? Time is running out

A friend of mine was caught up in similar scenario.
Send a mail to WES with contactca@wes.org .
Tell them to give you an option i got your account for you to mandate them to send the purification request to your academic institution by courier service.If this is done,you will pay with your credit card for the shipment cost.
Please quote your reference number in your mail to them.
My friend did it......it was perfect at additional cost only.

Hey guys , I need your opinion urgently please ..

I Have a friend who wants to know if he is eligible to apply under NOC 0311 " Managers in health care " or not !!

he is a dentist works on a small dental clinic and at the same time he is responsible for everything related to the clinic " quality assurance , financial issues , monitoring other dentists and dental stuff team , check equipments .... etc. " ....

Anyway , he saw that one of the titles for NOC 0311 is " administrator, dental health services " .. so , he wanted to know can he apply under this noc as Dental health service administrator ? or employee under this noc must be working in a hospital or big medical institution not small dental clinic ??

I need your help please ..

If the duties of your friend are similar to what is listed then one can apply under this NOC.

folks one help,

for my friend, his wife lost her birth certificate (unfortunately). He is ready with all documents except WES and he just got Ack from WES that he will get the certificate in hand by thursday(2 days). but if he apply for new birth certificate today, it will at-least take 2 more weeks.

Is there any alternative? what she have that shows birth date are
1. Hospital record.
2. SSLC Book (DOB is present)

Please suggest any alternative!

There are alternatives listed in the guide and document checklist. I don't know anything about Indian documents but all Indians seem to use the 10th year leaving certificate as the alternative. Make sure it has the parents' names and DOB on it.

Hello all,

Finally, Ready with my app, Will be sending my application package tomorrow morning. Just a quick question:

1- I didn't find a 9″ x 12″envelope, i got 10″ x 15″. Can i send my app in this size envelope(seems a silly question but i am bit over cautious)

2- The addresses shown on CIC website, I can write it with pen on the envelope? or I have to take print out of it and stick it on the envelope?

ANYONE CAN REPLY TO MY 2 LITTLE INNOCENT QUESTIONS ?

Presumably you are using a courier service. If so, just use the envelope they provide, and use the address form they provide.

It depends if you're running short of pass points (67+), you can submit Spouse's IELTS (min. 4 band each) to fetch 5 points for Adaptability. It is not related to his travel to Canada. How many points you are getting per Self Assessment ?

You should Fill all the Forms for yourself, Dependents (additional forms), show Settlement funds as per your family etc. The decision to migrate your family or not can be considered later.

Yes it is. Spouse adaptability points can be claimed for an accompanying spouse ONLY.

Since CIC has already started to charge CC/DD of FSW14, U are going to receive ur PER email (positive Eligibility Review) soon. This will contain ur application Number and UCI.

U will receive ur PER email from the below CIC email ID :


Centralized-Intake-Office @ cic.gc.ca

Above ID may have space, u will need to consider without space.

U can Keep this ID on safe list of ur email account. Since this email sometimes go to Junk/spam older. So also check this folders for ur expected email.....

received PER Email from CIC today morning JUNE 17th.
