Last year I applied and the filed was returned cos of Capping. I must have received the UCI number (I am not sure as I used agent n I am not clear about this point).

My question is:

Last time I applied for 1112 and provided the Reference letter describing job duties from my previous employer and duration was more that 1 yr. and for current employer as i was performing a little different duties than 1112 I put up a different NOC related to finance (operations).

Time time round I still had the previous employer ref letter so I used that and I got the ref letter from my current employer as well and this time round I was performing duties matching 1112. So I used 1112 for the current employer as well.

Also apart from these two employers I worked for a Advertising company for 1 year in start of my career and the NOC which consultant used last time was not appropriate so I changed that too this year. Choosing a more relevant NOC for this particular employment.

My question is would this difference in NOC will make it an issue?

It's not a problem that you had work in different NOCs.

If you have a UCI you need to fill it in because it is the same number for life. If you had a consultant you can ask them if they got it for you. I believe you can also contact CIC to obtain it.

They inquire from your bank or they ask you to allow the bank to communicate with them? In many countries banking confidentiality laws would prevent the bank from responding to a direct request (except from law enforcement) without the account holder's consent.

Plz Tell me that National Identity Card is also Required for Application. Or Copy of Passport & Birth Certificate is only Required.

If National Identity Card is Required, then We need to Translate it in English or Not?

National ID is required.

Read the section on document translation. Read the whole thing actually, it's very useful.

Ignore the below part "Employment requirement". But take care "University professors and lecturers specialize in a particular subject matter such as biology, chemistry, anatomy, sociology, business administration or law."

Employment requirements
•A doctoral degree in the field of specialization is required for university professors.
•A master's degree in the field of specialization is required for university lecturers.
•Licences or professional certification may be required for professors teaching future practitioners in certain professionally regulated fields, such as medicine, engineering, architecture, psychology or law.

So my specialization "Economics" isn't mentioned! Will it come under sociology? Because i believe both are closely related =l...or not?

When WES completed my Credential Assessment then sent the evaluation report to receiver through canada post.
Unfortunately, the evaluation report was not delivered and canadapost don't know where is my package :-\.
So I order additional report from WES but this time the service level is "WES ICAP". The service level of first evaluation report that
was not delivered, is FSWP. So I must send "WES ICAP" to CIC not "WES FSWP" because WES FSWP was not delivered :-X.
I am so worry for the above issue. Does CIC accept the evaluation report of "WES ICAP"?
What is different between "WES FSWP" and "WES ICAP"?

It will not be applicable for FSW ...but u may use the docs for FSW evaluation....U can send them email...

That's quite common. I happened to me too almost three times now..
It will reach US/Canada mainland within 36 Hours from anywhere in the world.
After reaching, Mirabel, PQ(Quebec)/Missuaga, it will take another 48 to 96 hours to transit internally.

When I asked, What the hell is the reason? They told be that, Nova Scotia is considered a remote place compared to main cities like Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver etc.. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

On the contrary, when I sent WES documents in Fedex, Believe it has reached WES office with 16 Hours from the time it left singapore. So, there you go.. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

The remoteness is why it is where it is. The government is creating employment in places where people live, for some unknown reason, where nothing else is happening.

I have a query regarding name to be filled in generic application form...

I have my full name - Family Name, Given Names (First name & Middle Name) printed in passport.. (e.g. PATIL ASHUTOSH GIRISH)

However, with my current employer and the savings bank a/c, Given Names are First Name & Only the initial of middle name..(e.g. PATIL ASHUTOSH G.)..

Should I mention this as an alias name in the form for Question 2 in personal details ? If I mention, then do I need to provide an AFFIDAVIT or will it be acceptable to mention this in a cover letter ?

Continuing our discussion, the key word is "such as" which means for example. So you can have speciality in Physics, Geographics, Economics, and keep on adding. As long as you have speciality in particular subject, you are eligible.

Hi All,

Last year FSW 2013, CIC did the task of CC or DD encashment news around June
2013 last week after scrutinizing FSW Applications, hope this statement is correct.

Going by the comments of several members here it seems this year (FSW 2014) that we can except earlier credit card charge or DD encashment by CIC .
Going by the above thought , whether we can assume it will be 2nd week starting on 9th June for the initial applications received on 1st week of May 2014.
Any senior members or last year successful applicants inputs please....

I have over 8 years of work exp.

1) I have been in current job for 1 Yr 10 Months as an Asst Manager for which i have got letter of reference from employer without the job duties. Thus, i have taken reference letter from a colleague as well with job duties. Will this work?

Also, advise, if I am eligible to apply under main NOC 0111 - Financial Managers as my job duties matches but my designation ( Asst Manager) don't match with this NOC

2) My job duties with earlier 3 employers for over 6 years match with NOC 1112 - Financial & Investment Analysts , but my designations don't match ( e.g. Associate / Administrator / Specialist). Out of these 3 employers, only 1 has given me Reference Letter ( of 1.5 years) mentioning my Job duties. Other 2 employers have denied to mention job duties, thus i have taken reference letter with duties from my senior / colleague . Will this Work ?

Under this scenario, pls advise with which NOC i should apply

Your title doesn't matter. What matters is whether the description of your duties in the letters matches the duties stated in the NOC.

If you can't get all the details you need from the employer itself, a supporting letter from a direct supervisor (best), senior colleague (decent) or peer colleague (marginal) may help. However you should make sure that anyone who writes a letter for you has a reasonable basis for knowing the details they are providing in the letter. If it's not obvious why the letter writer should know your duties, the letter writer should explain it. For example your direct supervisor obviously knows your duties, but a peer colleague does not obviously know your duties, unless for example you worked on the same team, or you were responsible for delivering work product to that colleague, or something like that, in which case that should be explained.

The purpose of the letters is to show the reviewer that you have the experience you claim to have, and the burden is on the applicant to show it. Do not assume that a reviewer will make any connections you do not explicitly establish even if they are logical connections. Do not assume that a reviewer will ask for clarification or additional information. They are under no obligation to do so.

Nobody knows how many points you can get for your experience. You will get as many as the reviewer gives you credit for, and the credit will come from clear and convincing letters and/or supporting documents.

in,nowhere imm008 asked for National ID Card but National Identity number... Your birth ID number is also ur national identity number, put the issue date and leave the expiry date blank... I put my BID number as National Identity Number ....

But section 16 of the checklist ask for copies of national ID documents.

Hi, I am working as Credit Rating Analyst and I believe I fall in NOC 1114. But they have not mentioned the job duties of all occupations which are falling in NOC 1114. And my job duties are not matching with any other occupations listed under different NOC categories.

As 1114 clearly writes other financial officers, can i apply under that?

Read the duties (including in the lead statement) from the NOC. Do your job duties match most of those descriptions? If so you have a good chance if you apply under that NOC. Job title is irrelevant.
