At the time of applicantion, job offer won't be required. An applicants will be put in a pool where potential employers will pick up applicants based on certain parameters. They will be given expression of intent and then the actual process of immigration will begin for these selected candidates.

friend , please keep me posted. I travelled twice to Kenya and spend nearly 4.5 months there. not sure whether I have to get PCC from them. I have not yet initiated

As per Ashif bhai's Post a couple of pages back "YES"

But I don't think that it really is that easy to answer this question of yours.

GUR2010 got an interview call after his 2nd line update. Many other applicants are awaiting for e.g. Oscar7 had sent an email to NDVO and he got a reply saying certain background checks are being conducted and it is done by 3rd parties hence they have no clue as to what timeframe he is looking at. Once the checks are completed he will be further informed. (Reference FSW 2013 thread).

We can just hope for the Best. So just keep your hopes high as this year their working pattern is different.

Assumption:-
1 - New officers must have been hired to process files - They are following the new pattern of issuing MR first & then PPR.
2 - Old Officers are still following the same old pattern and If god wishes all waiting applicants would get MR & PPR together very soon (I believe in that personally)

Hopefully this clears some air (Or maybe creates more confusion LOL!!!)

WARNING TO APPLICANTS THAT ARE NOT ACTING AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.ACT NOW & NEVER GIVE UP.
Global SS is only reporting 20-30% of the applicants and there are a lot of applicants
out there that are not being captured by the global SS.
Note:If the global SS says 100 applicants,in reality it is already 250-300 with CIC please.
With this statement above,I wasn't surprised from 500+ to 1000 for NOC 2171.
Warning:All other uncapped NOCs with high numbers will follow this trend as well.

How was the overall exprience for medicals @ Fortis .. for how much time it was ... how much does it charge per person .. do they give u any feedback at the end or any letter or copy or anything in general as confirmation ... do they ask u any personal things like did u undergo any surgeries or check ur body marks and ask u counter ques .. just tell me ur complete exp pls .. it helps .. thank u

Its pretty straight forward actually, Try to get an appointment by 9ish itself as the whole process will take half day, that means if you go by 9ish, everything will be done by noon, they'll take your chest Xray, blood and Urine sample, overall Height &Weight, they also check the height & weight of your baby if you have one( No blood test or Xray for the baby), Its Rs.4800 each for adults and Rs.1500 for the baby, the Hospital will be sending your test details to the embassy. they'll also give you a copy with their stamp on it, you need to send this to the embassy along with your Passport Bio pages, Dont forget to take the first and last pages copy of your passports and 4 passport size photos when you go for the tests. all the best to you.....I hope this helps!!

As per my knowledge,, pcc is required where your stay is more then 180 days ....

Should I email them to know my status, or call them, just to remind you I am 17th sept applicant for noc 2171.

Try both. Email response is gonna come in 30-45 days.
