I didn't get any news from cic until today.....I m 30 june applicant

I enquired about my DD with bank....they r saying its not enchased..

what is the maximum time cic took to enchash DD and to deliver PER......

sometime is not going good in my case.....

Dont go by Bank....... I received my PER on Oct 21........... I enquired bank about my DD status on 25 Oct (just to check by when banks come to know abt the encashment) and they said not encashed yet............ Wait... your PER is on the way....... Dont worry.....

My second line updated on 09-oct that we start processing your application.. But its been more than two week.. When i will get my MR..poeple applied after me already get their MR...is visa office doing an checks or its normal..

FBI PCC Updates:

Just sharing some hard learned facts about my own FBI PCC being stuck from past 40 days and still counting..

My form reached FBI office: 15-Sep
CC Charged: 7 Oct

I have called them twice so far. CC charged means nothing as that is the first thing they do when they open envelope. At this stage they also enter your details in the system.
It is however the later stages when the actual scanning and background check reports come along through the new system that are affected with the recent IT System changes.

Note that they are currently processing August 7th dated application. At their current pace it will take minimum 12 weeks, and this can delay more if the new system don't catch up on the backlog soon.

The prudent thing to do is inform your VO about this delay and set their expectation right.

CC Charged is first step. The new system becomes a bottleneck only at the later stages when the actual background reports comes through.
Unfortunately no matter how soon they charge you after you send your application, the report will take 12 weeks at the pace they are currently processing, and this can become more worse if the new system does not catch up on the backlog.

FBI Report Application Update from my side:


My wife has applied for her FBI report on 25th Sep 14 (Sent her package via USPS).

Her CC was charged on 15th Oct 14. So I guess they are not going to delay so much.....

This is just for your information. I will let u know once report is on her hand....

Sorry but it could still take lot of time. My application reached on 21st August and CC charged on 16th sept. I called FBI 2 days ago and they said it will take 3 more weeks before they mail it back. All folks who had applied in august are in same boat.

Just letting you know in case you need to request extension from visa office.
