you cannot choose CPC Ottawa because you have to be legally admitted to US for at least one year. You may choose New Delhi visa office.

I've been in the US for last 3 months on H1b, prior to that I was in India for 1.5 years.

So should I select my Visa Office as New Delhi, or CPC Ottawa ?

Hi seniors! Do you think my file will be returned if i didn't specify the visa office? I am applying from within canada and the instruction guide on Imm 0008 says i't doesn't apply to those applying from within Canada so i leave it blank. My file was validated though even without visa office. If you can take a look at what I'm saying, or if you know anything about this. Please tell me your thoughts. I will really appreciate it.

I have read a few similar questions like this in this forum from people who choose a wrong Visa Office. It shouldn't affect your application because if you don't write the right VO they choose the one that applies to you. I think it should happen the same way in your case. Good luck!

Yup. I was surprised at the speed too. Maybe CIC is more organized now, scanning for the hit list requirements as soon as possible and returning as many applications as possible. The one's surviving might be be getting another scan and then CCs or DDs charged. So this way returning or rejected applications are handled quicker.
Too late for 2173? I'm still expecting answers for my questions. treat me as one odd case of extreme optimism, I just want to keep both the applications alive. Thanks for all the replies.
We are from India and currently working in Canada on Work permits. No e-mails from CIC so far, the package was returned by post yesterday.

AnithaC, Sorry to hear about your case!!

I am not sure if Caps will affect your case as you are currently working in Canada. It will be helpful if you could let us know when (on what date) did CIO send your application back?

First, don't panic! Not sure about this but it might not be a huge mistake. To be sure, just wait for a person who can give you a 100% accurate answer.

Pankaj, considering people receiving returned applications after 5 months, I am skeptical about subscribing to that thought! Although, I wish it were true.

exceptions are always there but around 110 days gone.....i think wait is on for me

If they have any of your originals such as ECA, IELTS, or anything you need back, just ask them to send it back to you.

If you have already filed your application and you submitted the "Use of Representative" form you'll need to send another one to cancel the representation.

Just about all consultants are really dumb and of no help.

I got your point. So should I send after my PER received as it is very near in future (DD Charged, WES duplicate report don), So i guess it will be quick if i send Representative form to the NDVO once my file reached NDVO.

The CIC has finally deducted the application fees from my account but I haven't received any email from them yet. Shouldn't I receive an email from them and when should I receive it ?
