I see some people include their CV in the application. Is this necessary? or optional?
Dear Brother,

Its not necessary and strongly suggested - Not To Provide such things that are not mentioned on the Document Checklist.

newsletter by cic

9. Processing times are faster
The Canadian government has expressed its intention to bring processing times for the FSW program to under one year. Recent applicants to the program have indeed begun to receive decisions on their applications within this timeframe.
That newsletter isn't by CIC. It is called "CIC News" to make it seem so. It is actually published by the same law firm that owns this forum. They do know what they are talking about, but they are also trying to drum up business. Do not take what is said there to be an official policy or communication from CIC.

I have a rejected Tourist visa way back 2003 the immigration reason is that I am a newly grad and doesnt have a strong economic funds (money), do I still need to declare it? From the form IMM5669E
#6 - D Have you been refused an immigrant status or visitor or temporary visa to Canada?
Of course you do. Is the answer to that question yes or no? The answer is yes. CIC absolutely checks whether applicants have been denied entry/visa in the past. They have all the records.

So if the status is evaluation in progress is it safe to assume that review of documents was satisfactory and that no additional document is needed. And we should get a positive response in 7 days. Or do they seek additional documents even in the evaluation phase?

Hi, as to your posers, (1) See the table for proof of funds in Canadian dollars. Convert it to your local currency (you can get a good exchange rate from XE.com) and make sure you select for your entire family, not single since you have a wife and child.
Number of
Family Members Funds Required
(in Canadian dollars)
1 $11,824
2 $14,720
3 $18,097
4 $21,971
5 $24,920
6 $28,105
7 or more $31,291

(2) You are required to reveal your full details in your aplication including the fact that you have a wife and child. To withhold this information now from CIC could negatively affect your PR status later if your application is accepted. You can't apply as a single person now and then magically have a family later. CIC does not condone withholding of such material facts even if your family will not be accompanying you at first. Better to come clean and get your PR visa the right way. All the best.
But it is possible to apply and have non-accompanying dependants. That is what he is asking. And yes it is possible to bring his dependants later, but they have to apply under some category under which they are eligible like family visa. Seems much easier to move the whole family at once.

You can check if your documents are accepted or if WES needs any additional documents from you. Log to your WES account and click on Required Documents. Scroll down a little and you can see the status of each of the document that you sent to WES.

So i would be good to go right? all that matters is whats written on my Job Duties Experience letter from my Sr. Manager on Company letter head and how it matches with 1112 NOC? right?
Right.. It should be signed by your Sr manager and if possible stamp to get more good impression.
Hours / week you have worked and salary / annum. If salary is not mentioned, attach pay slips for 3 months. Attach attested photocopy of your (appointment letter showing your salary and resignation letter)
I would suggest, clip business card of your manager and use plastic clips wherever required.

Educational duration: I wrote
Primary -5 yrs

Secondary -7 yrs (5+2 years HSC/college)

Univ- 4yrs( 4 yrs university)
Secondary Education Start: I guess, it will be from 1st January
University Start: If you forget the month, give estimation; but try to ensure that there is 4 years of total duration.

Work Experience: Forum members suggest giving title.

NID expiry date: Keep it blank. After printing, you can write N/A there.

Assets: Add your property, house, jewelry, and settlement fund
Settlement Fund: use the bank certificate amount in CAD

Your Work experience:

Should I have to write all designations and duration for all companies where I worked and working?: Yes
In Date field I can write only year but in month field I cant write month, I can write 2008-09 like this.: 2008-09 is OK. Write in that way.

Thanks to All....

So, I have to mention:

1) Asset = amount of bank certificate
2) Settlement fund= amount of bank certificate

Should I have to fill up the background declaration form IMM5669E for spouse??

Lol thanks bro.

Yes I have been here for 3 year and plan to stay for at least one and a half more. But ideally want to stay forever like the rest of you :)
So in ur case CPC- O is the ideal choice ,as per my suggestion...

Posting this for the second time...Need guidance

I have a house purchased as an investment which is on lease jointly owned by my mom. The mortgage too is jointly owned by us. Now CIC does not consider assets jointly owned(if not spouse). What about the liab?? I have 20,000 CAD to show as liquid funds but if the asset is not considered and if the Liab is, then Assets-Liab goes negative?

I have taken precautions of keeping the mortgage account separate, and all my liquid funds is another account with no trace to the mortgage account. Should I just skip the Liab??
