Hey guys, I have a query..am a June 20 applicant. At the outset I apologise if my query is lengthy.
My work experience
Comp 1 - 1 year 11 months , have given experience letter as expected by CIC.

comp 2 - 2 years 4 months, this happened to be my current company when I applied. Hence I could not get experience letter as mgmt didn't wanna give me. Hence I submitted all other docs that would prove that I work here along with my experience signed by my team mate infront of a notary public & emails that I sent to mgmt asking for this. I explained in cover letter that I could not get it as it's not in their policy.

Comp 3 - will join next Monday, yet to inform CIC.

I do cross 67 points though my comp 2 experience is not counted.
My query is, as I have resigned & today is my last day I will be getting detailed exp letter of comp 2 today which is more apt to 2171 that I applied & I feel would maximise my chances.

Should I try sending it to CIC at this point. Will it be considered. What's your take on this guys. Pl advice.

Did anybody mention an experience period less than one year in SCHEDULE 3 ? Please answer my inquiry !!!

In SCHEDULE 3 , one of my experience periods is less then one year, and when filling the years of experience I can only check one year not less !!!
Does it mean they will not consider or calculate experience period less than one year ?

Dear Experts please help me,

I am in peculiar situation. I applied in 2174, application received date is 12th june. Hopefully it should get processed in this week. I wanted to make small correction in passport. My passport bears my surname appended to Given name in Given Name column leaving surname column blank. Also, i would like get spouse name endorsed on my passport, though my spouse's passport bears my name correctly. I am not able to decide shall i go ahead and get new passport with above corrections or let my application proceed with current passport.

If i choose to make corrections, then do i need to get new IELTS score card from BC and will it have any negative impact on my application if choose to change passport?

But if i don't make corrections, will i be able to make these corrections later once i get visa (atleast i should hope to get .... Smiley)

Please guide me to make correct decision.

Hello guys,

What happened to all 9th June DD's??? Not a single DD got en cashed so far by CIC...... What might be the reason.... Have they send the DD's to respective banks to get them en cashed and they r waiting for that......... I dont know how it works when it comes to DD..

Hey Syed,

Looks like, they are going to take a little more time. You can see they have not sent PER for 5th and 6th June DD cases. So this is going to take another couple of days or may be uptill friday.

I received passport request from CPC Ottawa last week. I live in the US. According to the email:

If you have a mailing address in the United States: To allow you to track your passports through the mail, we strongly recommend that you purchase a pre-paid shipping label from Canada Post and include it with your passports and a copy of this letter. Follow the link to purchase your shipping label:

If you do not submit a return prepaid Xpresspost envelope or a pre-paid Canada Post shipping label, or if you provide an envelope from any other courier, we will return your passport by regular mail.

Could you please advise on how to fill the from address for shipping label? it shows that First Name ,Last Name and email are required.

Just wanted to confirm the [size=10pt]validaity of PCC[/size] from seniors folks on the forum.


I do read on the CIC website it says 'Police certificates are generally valid for 12 months from the date they are issued'...... but still wanted to make sure I understand it correctly.


Wanted to know how long does a PCC stand good? Say if a person applied in Jan2014-> Gets PCC issued around March2014-> Gets PER around April204-> Gets request from CIC for PCC around May2014.
Can he use the PCC that he got issued in Marcih2014?? Will that be valid??

For FSW2014, when is the last date for sending applications? Looks like there are no IELTS dates available in India till Dec 06.

April 30th 2015 is the last date.

Alhamdulillah by the grace of the Almighty I have received my PER mail yesterday...

App received: 4th June 14
DD charged: 22nd September 14 (my bank (HDFC) failed to inform about it the encashment)
PER received: 29th September 14
