I needed to know, in the general application, in the dependents section, is it necessary to include your parents and siblings as well? Or can I just include my spouse and nobody else?

In generic application you should mention your spouse/childern names only. Your parents and siblings will be come in Additional family application form.

Hi Guys, My CC has been charged on May 30 but I am yet to receive PER email. Is it possible for me to check ECAS for the status of my application? i don't seem to have any UCI number now.

Don't worry, your PER will come very soon. UCI will mentioned in your PER. Wait for GOOD news.

It will be like EOI of Australia ..... one standard list of occupation for federal and more concentrated list Provisional Nominated Occupations......................

Hello everyone, my heartiest congratulations to everyone, who have got MR requests and PER. My application was received by CIC on 22/05 and my DD was encashed on 10/09, ECAS has been updated as In Progress, but I haven't got PER email. Each day passing is traumatising me. Does anyone has any idea why is it taking time.

One thing I want to share is that, I gave employer reference letter on a letter Head carrying Delhi Head Office (Delhi HO has assured me that if CIC contacts them regarding my case, they will give +ve feedback). I also gave my manager's visiting card which has Punjab's number and site address, but recently he has moved to Gujarat. Although, I emailed him, but I haven't back anything yet. Do you think this can be a reason for the delay.

I would appreciate your invaluable feedback and any action that I can do now . . . . .

Your PER will come soon. NO CIC cross check about your experience or employment. It is a function of Local visa office. Relax. GOOD LUCK.

Guys.. I need your comments on my situation.

I am currently in Toronto, as a student, about to apply for my work permit in a day or two. My CC was charged somewhere in August.

Now, I mentioned my Visa Office to be "CPC-Ottawa" in my application as I am living in Ontario since past 9 months and will continue to do so for a long time. I got CIC's email in August that my file will be transferred to the concerned Visa Office.

But, today I get an email from "CPC-Ottawa" saying that my file is being transferred to "NDVO" for further processing and they would work and approve my application. Now I do not understand what is the reason behind this? Is it that my PP is from Delhi ?

How will I interact with a Visa Office that is in India, when I am living in Canada?? Did this happen to others as well?
What could be the way ahead...?

Hey Sweetalker... firstly if you were living in Canada for more than a year then further processing could have done in Ottawa. Since you have lived in Canada just for 9 month they were force to send your app to your origin nation vo, which is India so NDVO. So its okay.

Medical can be done anywhere in the world so thats not an issue.

In case where PP is requested by NDVO, you can let NDVO know that you have been living in Canada for some time now and, just a bit delay in process but stamping can be done at Ottawa for you.

Hi Sam,

Please don't take any chance... My suggestion is - send the updated Generic form along with the cover letter and in front mention "Additional Documents", Primary Applicant Name, Application received date, NOC, Passport number etc...
No, I dont feel there is any need for this. He must have sent his language report which will show the institution details as well. Seniors could comment if I am wrong

CIC always ask for latest updated form. You should not take risk.

Hi Sam,

It is very clear that the "proficiency in English or French" is missing in the old Generic form for both primary applicant and for dependant (spouse).

So, you must send the updated form as i said previously.

Don't take any risk bro...

As far as I have gone through the details, notarization is required only for the translated/changed documents.
