Guys....

I have mentioned my NID as Drivers license and my spouse's NID as voter ID card in the form.... Will that be a problem... will it lead to rejection of my file.... :-[ :-[

Please advice.....

I don't think it would be a reason for rejection.

Guys.. I need your comments on my situation.

I am currently in Toronto, as a student, about to apply for my work permit in a day or two. My CC was charged somewhere in August.

Now, I mentioned my Visa Office to be "CPC-Ottawa" in my application as I am living in Ontario since past 9 months and will continue to do so for a long time. I got CIC's email in August that my file will be transferred to the concerned Visa Office.

But, today I get an email from "CPC-Ottawa" saying that my file is being transferred to "NDVO" for further processing and they would work and approve my application. Now I do not understand what is the reason behind this? Is it that my PP is from Delhi ?

How will I interact with a Visa Office that is in India, when I am living in Canada?? Did this happen to others as well?
What could be the way ahead...?

Seniors, please comment and suggest.
Thanks.

You might not be having legal status of atleast one year to stay in Canada as you are applying for work permit have not got it. Don't worry NDVO will process your case, You don't need to interact with them, they will contact you on your email id.

Your diploma degree - post Graduate, No Degree
Bachelor -Bachelor's Degree

Yes, I strongly suggest to include her. She will get 1 year to travel Canada once visa is issue and she may need to stay may be 2-3 week for doing all the formalities of PR card. I don't think, spending 2-3 week will hamper must of her education.

Thanks bro Century for that quick thing!!

However, for the highest education part, we have drop down option

Post Graduate-No degree
Bachelors degree
Non University certificate/diploma
Post Secondary-No degree
master's degree

Which one to select from this?

Besides, For my wifes sponsorship, She is already included in the application. and the fee is paid for her as well. It is just about accompanying, So are you strongly suggesting that my wife should travel with me itself in the first place?

Hi all,

I needed to know, in the general application, in the dependents section, is it necessary to include your parents and siblings as well? Or can I just include my spouse and nobody else?

Thank you

Only your spouse and your children are considered as dependents. Your parents or siblings are not considered as your dependents.

Contact CIC

To know the status of your application by calling cic from outside canada
dial - 0016139444000
select 1 for English
then 1 for foreign affair
2 for immigration
call is being transferred to cic
then 1 for English
2 for status
1 for PR
8 digit client id number will be asked
listen to the request 3 times without entering any client id number.

Can someone please re-confirm if this can be done from India. and if we get hold of a CIC agent, can we disclose that we are calling from india???

Hello, ppmom! Congratulations. ;)

Hello Guys,

I have question regarding PCC. I haven't send PCC documents with my application which reached at CIC office on 10th-Sep-2014. I am just wondering should i start working on PCC now itself or should i wait for communication from CIC, may be at some particular phase of application (like CC charged/PER Mail etc)

Please suggest

Thanks,
Zizy

Even, My credit card will ask for secure authentication password while making online transaction.

Does it block the credit card charging for CIC ...

Now it makes me worrying.... :( :( :(

Please seniors, share your thoughts.

I have verified by visa and they charged my card ok.

No problem because providing NID is not necessary and even if the VO want to see you driver license he will ask you to submit......lol......
