Dear members,
Need your guidance related to PCC..I am currently working in USA and went to India on vacation in July2014 for a month. Do I need to obtain PCC from India as well?
Also, in a link for PCC-USA, it says: "Processing times are normally between 16 and 18 weeks. The FBI will send you a letter with the results of their record check. That letter will be your police certificate....." So does it really takes too long for PCC from USA or its just the max time?
Please shed more light on this or if any fellow member has done PCC from USA! Thanks much.

thanks a lot for this info!!!

one more questn...previously i've applied for work permit & received one too ...will they store all the informatn i've provided then..like my educatn , experience...n all??? & compare to it now while for my new FSW app??

Tx

They compare with all the records they have. Including previous applications returned because of cap. Best wishes! My suggestion is never go wrong with the facts, and you have nothing to worry!

Is their specific day they update ecas?

If you provide the UCI from your work permit will CIC use that or give you a new one for your PR app?

Usually they put the same UCI once u have it from any of the app....

And there is no spec date for changes on ECAS...:)

Thank you Canol. I read on the forum that applications with past visa rejections are subjected to greater scrutiny and hence was worried.

From your response I assume that

I can write my current designation as my current occupation
Pick up a sample title from the list of titles given in the hrd website under my NOC and state that as the intended occupation
No need to mention the duties on the application. I can write refer to reference letter

Please confirm. Sorry to be paranoid, but I am stressed :(

Yes, right.

Don't take too much stress. All of us are sailing in the same boat. Have faith in yourself and keep your hopes high.

ECAS is mostly updated from Friday to Sunday - this is what I observed specially for 1st line.

The UCI will remain same for the lifetime of a client. So if once issued earlier against whichever the visa type is, it will remain same.

You're all set to get your PER and PR .....

We lesser mortals still have some time to go before we get to know our fate........ Faster processing will give us guys something to cheer about ...

That's not true. Some pages in the website still show this time. But, it takes 4-6 weeks generally.

Hey all.... the weekend is almost over in India....

Waiting for CIC to start working in just a little over half a day! I'm going with Canol's predictions for the specific NOC CAP updates but I think He's underestimated each NOC by about 10 units ......

Overall cap update should be close to 3250... I'll be really happy if it is above 3315.... would give an indication that CIC is picking up speed even more .... !! 110 per day would be awesome .... also if CIC charges 29th May tomorrow, then we would have 4 new dates charged in 4 consecutive days .... would mean a lot of hope to a lot of people ......

Lets all Cheer to see a good number overall number and relatively small HOT NOC increments...

I agree. The more numbers the better.
