Hi Guys,

All NOC 2171 applicants and experts, please advise if the following roles and responsibilities would be good for NOC 2171:

•Partner with clients, advising them how to use Information Technology (IT) in order to meet their business objectives.
•Provide IT consultancy to clients – both external and internal.
•Analyze client’s Information System requirements and develop and implement IT systems for them.
•Manage various stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle to maximize the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of IT systems.
•Assess the 'As-Is' business scenarios, processes and end user requirements to propose and implement customized solutions.
•Conduct business and technical studies; design, develop, integrate and implement IT systems solutions.
•Generate, identify and qualify methods of incorporating IT systems with industry best practices
•Contribute to development of best practices for the identification, collection, consolidation, validation, tracking and reporting of data.
•Provide advice on IT strategy, policy, management, security and delivery.
•Analyze feasibility of new IT systems and enhancements to existing systems
•Upgrade IT systems after communication with clients and other stakeholders
•Provide 24*7 support in co-ordination with Onshore/Offshore model support to Business needs

I am an Indian currently in India but I have worked for almost 3 years during 2010-12 in Hong Kong.
Since HK has lesser processing time (8 months) for FSWP applications than India (22 months) and since I am very late, can I put my office as Hong Kong so that my applications get processed in HK.
Or is this option of submitting to a office which is in your non-native country only applicable to people who are currently residing there i.e. I could have applied to HK office only if I were working in HK currently ?

Also, If I can submit my application to HK, do I need a permanent address in HK so that I can receive letters etc ?
And, how many times will I have to travel to HK to meet Canada FSW officers (e.g. for interview) ?

If you are not currently residing, for a period of 1 year or more, in a country outside your country of citizenship, then you are not eligible to choose the VO assigned to that particular country.

At the moment, you can only choose the VO assigned to India, which is NDVO.

One basic question to the NDVO applicants who have received MR- Does the 2nd line gets updated in the ECAS before receiving the MR mail or it gets updated only after the receipt of the mail? The line I am mentioning to us - we started processing your application on xxx. Please Do let us know.

You need to be currently residing in Honk Kong for a period of no less than a year inorder to choose HK as your VO. In addition you have to provide documents like residency card/ permit issued in HK showing your current stay period/status. If this is not the case, you cant choose any other VO unless the one of which you are a citizen.

Just try to put 1 or 2 lines which are there under noc 2171 on the website. JD is perfectly fine but just to safeguard ourselves. all the best

Hi friends
I sent my documents on June 16th to ICAS for assessment, but unfortunately I haven't received the assessment and the site shows just this expression:
"07/08/2014 Application reviewed for completeness and placed in queue for assessment".
I sent an email and they replied your case is under process.
Is there anybody who has sent his/her documents to ICAS? What can I do? :-[

Ouch!! this is not good.... most of us have used WES and they take approximately 20 to 30 days.

Seniors/Anybody, please help out this person if anyone has experience with ICAS...

On 13/9/14 kerala free from liqour. It can be get only from 5 star hotel and govt outlets. Only 20 ***** hotels in kerala. As per govt new policy all bar hotels to be closed 13/9/14 onwards.

Looks good...but I would advise adding a few more lines...because the duties would seem to be very limited in number (try checking the job duties on for the NOC and may be you will remember a few more that you can add...)

Hello all senior members,

i m 14th May applicant and by grace of GOD came to knwo by bank tht my DD was chanrged last week.

actually, last year my PR application was returned by CIC due to cap reached, and i almost lost all hopes tht FSW will re-open...so i applied for AUSTRALIA PR , and though it was very transperent & fst process, i am almost done with that procedure and only waitnig for the visa grant which will take one month. Now when i came to know in May tht FSW is re-open, i immediatly sent my ready made application and now in dilema what to do. i want to open both options like my main factor of choosing any conutry will be how my job prospects are there and that can be only seen aftr ariving there.

so can anyone expert tell me what shoud i do in this case? i may receive PER next week. should i go 1st AUS to stamp my PR and come back to India, so my PR becomes validate and then wait for NDVO for MR, PCC, RPRF request. In that case i will have to submit my passport, so approximate in how much time they will return my passport? Shall my local VO see that i have already PR for AUS, then why i am appying for Canada? will this affect to my application.
my 1st choice is canada, so pls suggest me what steps i shoud take towards my above mentioned matter...

thank you all who spend time for reading such long post...m sorry for that...but really require sure suggestion from anyone who can help me out in this situation......
