Does anyone know if you must be graduated in MArketing or Communications to be eligible for NOC 1123?
I'm an Engineer but have worked in marketing for the last years - applied to this NOC but now I;m worndering if they will accept it.

Thanks!

Buddy,

Education does not matter...Its the job duties...As long as u have the relevant job duties u are eligible to apply...

Check:

http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=1123

In that case ur employment docs need to be strong which may include:

Work experience requirement:

1. Job duties on Company Letter head.
2. Full time /Working hour should be mentioned.
3. Company's seal if applicable

Additional:

5. Appointment/contract letter
6. Payslip (3 months will be enough)
7. Business card of applicant and referee (reference letter's).

Good luck..

If you look the table at http://www. cic. gc. ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/ECA_table_EN.pdf , page 3, against Secondary school diploma and diploma (two years), the equivalency is given "Two-year post-secondary" and point is 19.

WES assessment are
"Secondary School Diploma and diploma (two years)
Bachelor's Degree (four years)
So,22.

You are right it is not obvious that it is two post-secondary diploma equivalents.

I suggest you include a cover letter in which you show CIC your own points calculation, and carefully point out the two different diploma equivalents, and state that you anticipate receiving 22 points for this.

Also, is there anything you can do to increase your points so you are safe just in case CIC disagrees and only gives you 21? Spouse IELTS, relative in Canada, anything?

Hey Guys,

checking the posts after long..
I need 2 clarifications regarding my application on FSWP

i. I am a B.Tech and Post Graduate diploma in Management(Autonomous) , but my ECA is available only for B.Tech since I could not find my PG college on the WES list.
So should I mention Post Graduate - No Degree OR Bachelor's Degree as my Highest Level of Education (form IMM0008ENU ).
and whether I should include my PG Marksheets with the form even though it's not available under ECA.
Also, If I remove my PG do I need to remove it from my Background forms also?

ii. I have several FD's and Bonds. these fall under Assets or Settlement Funds (15000CAD). The bank statements are till June.. can I use them with my application now? or I'll have to get new ones..
Can I show the account statements of my spouse since she is the secondary applicant.

Thanks
Boso

People here are saying different things, now if you are saying its 21 then could you let me know on what basis have you come to that calculation?

Experts advice again please !

the person who said 21 said he has the same report. That makes his answer more reliable in my opinion.

Please can any1 help me out here, I gave ielts and from there I am getting only 20 points. Hence I wanted to know that how many maximum points I can claim from CIC for education, I do not have spouse IELTS as I am single and also a principal applicant.?

Here is the detailed report that I saw in View Report tab: LET ME KNOW THE POINTS I CAN CLAIM AS PER CIC

CANADIAN EQUIVALENCE SUMMARY
Bachelor's Degree (four years)

CREDENTIAL ANALYSIS
1 Credential Authentication: Official transcripts were sent directly by institution
Country: India
Credential: Diploma in Industrial Electronics
Awarded by: Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education
Institution Status: Recognized
Admission Requirements: Secondary School Certificate
Length of Program: Four Years
Major/Specialization: Industrial Electronics Technology
Canadian Equivalency: Secondary School Diploma and diploma (two years)

2 Credential Authentication: Official transcripts were sent directly by institution
Country: India
Credential: Bachelor of Engineering
Awarded by: Mumbai University
Institution Status: Recognized
Admission Requirements: Secondary School Graduation
Length of Program: Four Years
Major/Specialization: Computer Engineering
Canadian Equivalency: Bachelor's Degree (four years)

This makes 22 points. It's two post-secondary credentials, one of which is for completing 3 or more years long program of study. I have very similar report (only I have three credentials, not two — a bachelor's and two two-year equivalents), I am expecting 22 points.

What matters is number of hours.. keep it above 8 hours per day and 5 working day.. It should not matter.

Oh gosh, the question has long been answered already. Sorry! This forum moves so fast! :D

Don't worry. My application was also received by DAN, and this was the first time the name of this CIO person appeared on the SS. I was a bit tensed for some time until other forum members whose applications arrived later reported the same person who signed proof of delivery.

Looks like D. Lewis is a new employee in CIO.

Hopefully, this means more applications to process per day :D :D
