I want to know something.....I got my PER on June 23 ( today 44 days )....
Do u have any idea in how much time can I expect AOR from SVO ?
Why so much take time After PER & Before AOR ??? What happen at CIO between this time ???

U can expect it within two months from PER...

Usually CIC transfer the hard copy package to the Local Visa office for further processing....Sometimes SGVO or local VOs take more time to send the update even thought they rcv the file earlier....

In SCHEDULE 3 ECONOMIC CLASSES - FEDERAL SKILLED WORKERS, I remember I didn't fill "section 11" showing the proof of fund below:

a) Assets
Indicate the total amount of assets, in Canadian dollars $
b) Liabilities
Indicate the total amount of liabilities, in Canadian dollars $
c) Settlement funds
Indicate the total amount of unencumbered transferable and available funds that you have in Canadian dollars $

I left it without filling it and I did not attached a bank statement with my application but hope to submit my bank statement when it clears the CIO.

Please, can anyone clarify what I should be expecting from CIO for making this mistake. I applied from within Canada with complete supporting document apart from what the issue I stated above.

Proof of settlement funds is a minimum threshold requirement. Without it your application will be rejected.

You can try to send it along now and ask CIC to add it to your already received application, though this has seen mixed results. Be sure to mention a UCI number if you have one.

I suggest you begin to prepare a new application now and send it ASAP if you are in a hot NOC. You can always withdraw it later if you get PER on your original application.

In Schedule A form, for que no 6 part (d) which is "been refused refugee status, an immigrant or PR visa (incl CSQ or PNP) or visitor or temporary resident visa to canada or any other country?", Should i select "yes" as answer for that question as my application was returned last year due to cap filling or do i have to just select "No"????

Re: DD is valid only for 3 months in all banks of india as per RBI rule

Hi all

Just a quick one. Is it correct that a DD in CAD (from an indian bank) is valid for 6 months by default unless specified otherwise on the DD. And the 3 months validity guidelines from RBI is applicable to domestic DDs and cheques.

Select "NO" as you application was not rejected, it was returned.

From CIC Guide 7000 -

"Note: Certified cheques, bank drafts and money orders may have expiry dates. When you submit your application to the CIO, the expiry date must be at least five months into the future.

If there is no expiry date on your certified cheque, money order or bank draft and it is drawn on a foreign bank, it can only be cashed for 6 months from the date of issue."
