.........REGARDING PROOF OF FUNDS..........

AFTER READING VARIOUS POSTS ABOUT PROOF OF FUNDS AND ALL, THIS HAS AWAKEN MANY QUESTION IN MY MIND. HERE ARE THEY :

1. I have made a fixed deposit of CAD 12000 and i will maintain this fixed deposit through out this process. But i cant show this money in my account statements of previous months. Can CIC demands account statements from past months because in that case i will be unable to give a reason as i have got this money after selling some gold (i dont have any offfcial record of it).

2. What should i do if CIC demands bank account statements of earlier months which i cant provide ?

Dont worry mate Fixed deposit will work for Proof Of Funds.

My Birth certificate Has English as well as local native language in the fields. Like Name, Date of Birth, etc is mentioned in English as well as Hindi. Does this need to be translated?

My package was received by CIC yesterday July 10 2014. However DHL receipt does not indicate the signed party which is in contrast to all the cases here in the forum. Should I take up the case with DHL and get details of who has signed or is it ok? Friends ......Please guide. Thanks!

This is problem with everyone those who sends from DHL. As they use third party to deliver to remote areas. DO send email to DHL. They will give you complete details of Delivery.

My application was received by Mike on 7th May. CC was charged on 20th of June. I checked the status in ECAS using last year's UCI. It says Inprogress with message "Application was received on 7th May"

But, I have not received PER. Is this a cause of concern? Did anybody from 7th May applicants received PER.?

Do not worry mate. They are busy in charging applicants. You will definitely receive PER soon.

I have applied under category 2171. Application reached on May 1st, CC not charged.
I was helped yesterday by the forum members with phone numbers and email to reach CIC.

I sent them a note and even called them. The officer on the call didn't gave me any update and asked me to write an email.
I will try calling them again today.

If my application is being returned due to some reason, then I should wait to find out the reason why it is returned or should I just start working on the new one.

Wait for their email. They will give you details about what happened to your package.

Me and my spouse are applying for PR from India. My baby is a US citizen, we are not planning for his PR yet. Will he need any visa to enter in canada OR he can directly land in canada and get his visa on port?

You have to apply along with your baby. Otherwise your application will be rejected.

I just want to double check whether my fee is charged or not. I see my ECAS showing as We have received you PR application on 7th May and status is inprocess. does it mean that they have already encashed the DD ?? i have not taken the DD from a bank, the DD is from cox n kings, so its a bit tough to get the status of the DD

First congrats if you are able to login to ECAS. Because only successful people are able to login.

select 1 for English
then 1 for foreign affair
2 for immigration
call is being transferred to cic
then 1 for English
2 for status
1 for PR
8 digit client id number will be asked
listen to the request 3 times without entering any client id number.
