Thanks so much Brother, thats done !!! Between.. Wanted to ask you.. your status shows Aug 2013 AOR.. so whats next, y is there so much delay.. was there as rejection and have you reapplied this time.. Aug 2013 to July 2014 is a long wait after AOR

Big brother's Visa office is still attending to backlogs of applications of his seniors and so put him on a queue.
My Visa office is also same as they are still attending to my seniors of FSW 2011/2012 and so none of us FSW2013/2014 has been attended to.
Big brother is even lucky to have AOR....mine dont even send at ALL.

Surname is mandatory brother. If you don't have surname then:
Given Name=Not Applicable
Surname= All your given names (XYZ ABC)

Hi, if your application is to be returned or rejected after review by CIO, your credit card will not be charged/ your draft will not be encashed. Your draft will be returned with your entire application. If after your credit card is charged, CIO re-evaluates your application and decides to reject it, they will issue you a draft later on.
However, once your file gets to your VO for complete processing and they reject your application, there will be no refund at this stage.

Wow!!!! reallyyy... i never knew this. I was under the impression, that once you submit your application, your money is a lost case, irrespective of your application rejected on any stage..

hi guys, your opinions needed. in a few weeks, i will be leaving from my country of citizenship to study abroad (not in Canada) for 2 years. which immigration office should i request to process my application - in my country of citizenship or my future country of residency (of course i have to wait til i move there to send in my application)?? :-\

Country of citizenship. You have no choice. You cannot use a VO other than your country of citizenship unless you have been legally residing in that country for at least 1 year and can prove it.

hi, my application is recieved on 30th June 2014. I got the UCI number last year. is that UCI numbe is valid for this year. or when should i check my ecs status .plz advise

You will have the same UCI number and can use this to check ECAS.

Hi, if you have received your study visa to your country of study and are sure you are definitely moving there, then use that Visa Office. If you have not received your study visa and don't think you will be going, use your country of citizenship. Your choice boils down to your concrete plans. You don't have to wait to send your application if you are sure you are moving, best of luck

Not true. You must have been legally residing in that country for at least one year before using that country's VO.

Do the reference letters need to be in native languages? I mentioned the objective to my employees and told them I would have to have them translated and they just wrote them in english to make things easier. Is that ok?

Hi Guys,

Please advise on below.

- I have sent my documents to Nova Scotia , shipment status : Received at the destination MACRURY CITIZENSHIP & IMMIGRATION no idea this is correct or not?
- The most important is by mistake I mentioned the amount only for Principal applicant whereas I am applying with spouse, is there any possibility I can send new forms in addition with the IELTS score of my wife which I did not mention earlier as she is taking the IELTS test on 2nd August 2014.

What amount are you talking about? Settlement funds? If so you should send a corrected form immediately as settlement funds is a minimum requirement.

Do you need the points from your spouse's IELTS to make the pass mark? If so you should send them ASAP as without them your application will be rejected due to not making the pass mark. If not, don't bother sending them after you receive them, because your application date will be changed to the date any new material is received, which could take you out of the cap.

I have 2 more questions:

1. For reference letters, my immediate supervisors have moved to different organizations, so getting a reference letter from the HR official is ok?

2. For proof of funds, apart from cash in bank what are other options for funds at the time of sending the file to CIC? Local currency equivalent to CAD$$? and Foreign Currency account works? Is it necessary that at the time of getting the statement from bank, the amount should have been in the account for 3 or 6 months?

1. Yes.

2. Cash, fixed deposits, stocks and bonds and mutual funds that are publicly traded and can be quickly liquidated. Any currency is fine as long as it is freely convertible. No need to have been in the account for any particular length of time, but the funds must be yours and not borrowed.
