My work experience letters are ready but i was just wondering how many duties should match with NOCs JD's on website...

THe NOC i am applying for has 9 duties on website, my job duties have 6 out of them + a few more? Will this be enough?

Hi All,

This is Naveen from India, i am planning to apply for FSW 2014 under NOC 2173. I have got my ECA report and gona write my IELTS exam tomorrow. I have my maternal uncle in Canada, he is a canadian PR holder. Inorder to get the 5 points for the relationship i have to submit the birth certificates of my uncle and my mother. But unfortunately both of them don't have their BC's. In the above case can i provide individual notarized affidavit certificates mentioning the birth details and parents name written by a close family friend of us who is elder than my uncle and mother, since my grandfather and grandmother passed away. Along with the affidavits i will provide a cover letter, uncle's pr copy & a utility bill. Will CIC accept the above documents inorder to claim the 5 points.

Does any of the senior forum members have provided affidavits for the proof of realtionship?

Hi naveen,

It is not difficult to get the BC, u just need to go to the municipal office where ur mother and uncle where born and ask them to issue a BC. It might take some time as they need to check old records but can be done

Without BC there is no guarantee that u will get 5 points

With this cap update we can have an idea about fsw 2014 spreadsheet and actual performance by cic. I think this spreadsheet is nearly 20% accurate.

Arjun - in Tamilnadu, India, getting Birth certificate for unregistered births (before 1984 i guess) is very difficult, its nearly 4-6 months process.

It seems that footnote hasn't been updated yet, as it is showing 4 May, 2013. Also, that footnote has been there even before the cap update (checked the cached version), so it's possible it has the wrong date? Although, PhD applications have a date of 6th June, 2014.

"Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of work experience in an occupation specified in the Instructions issued by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on May 1, 2014. However a final decision on your eligibility to be selected as a federal skilled worker will be made by a visa office.

Your application has now been placed into processing."


In my opinion it was pretty fast, as our papers were delivered in Sydney the 2nd of May. NOC 2174

Hope you guys get a positive answer soon.

FORM - IMM0008ENU_2D Generic APPLICATION fORM
1) Shall i need to write N/A manually on all gray appeared boxes after validation of form? No DO NOT write any thing after validating form.
2) Shall i need to mention UCI ?I have application number of :4 years ago i applied on student visa but latter on withdrawn my case due to family issues. Yes if you have one mention it.
3) What date to mention in TO field in current country of residence?I am working in KSA and its job.Put present date
4) I want to specify my home country address in current address for mailing while i live in KSA.Any issue with that? No
5) I cant enter 00 OR + in country code of telephone field ? Any issue if i go ahead with 9683334......? I think you have to mention country code in that field.
6) Shall i have to enter fax number ? I dont have any. Then leave it blank
7) I can give details of my overseas NIC as its english instead of native ? Both have different number and both are valid.Incase,its native based what is translation procedure ?Sorry, I have got no idea

10) I worked in nigeria on rotation bases from 7 months (30 days nigeria,2 weeks off in home country).If i calculate the days i stayed Nigeria its 135days so will i have to mention it in country stayed for more than 6 months. I am not sure if you have to.

Dependent means your wife and children. You don't have to fill out this form
IMM5476 Representative
1) Will i have to submit this form of representative with application ? i am working on my own on my application with this forum help.No you don't have to include this form

IMM5406 Additional Family information
1) Will i have to submit this form ?I am single.Will i have to mention my parents or siblings despite they are not dependent and not linked my immigration to canada.Yes you have to include this form

IMM5604E Declaration from Non-Accompanying or Parents
1) I am single and only one in my application.Do i need this with application kit ?No you don't have to include this form

IMM5409E Statuory Declaration of Common Law Partner
1) Do i need while i am single ?Dont have girlfriend as well so i am very innocent No you don't have to include this form

And
Any cover letter need with application plus any particular way to arrange while sending. Cover letter not needed at all. Arrange it according to document checklist.
Lastly,what are my chances for NOC2132 i send all things by 10-June-14 ? Compared to first list came out. Chances are pretty good.
