I saw the link too but why I was uncertain was because of the below quote in 2nd para. (Key here is that the text in red, does not say an if/or condition thus implying that this route is available when you are outside canada and have lost your Pr card and you need to prove that you are a PR card hodler at the border while entering.

Use this application if you are outside Canada, you have lost your PR card and you need proof of your status to return to Canada.

This is totally not a true assertion.

Permanent resident or landed PR can apply for visa to return to the country even when they don't have a PR card. it is called a PRTD - Permanent Resident Travel Document.

I'm 5th Dec. applicant, DD , my Ecase shows " In Process, We received your application .......etc " but I don't know when was my DD charged as the bank told me they couldn't know this information.

I'm seeing many 5th Dec. applicant in the forum receiving their PER .. when I should expect it ?

I'm a single applicant so I think that I've a very simple application..

I also want to know, is it a good sign that my Ecase shows " In process " ??

I mean, If I'll receive NER, do they change this status in my ecase in the same day I receive the NER or before that or after that by few days ??
is there is anyone who had his ecase went alive and shows " In process " and then he received NER ?? I hope not

Could you please let me know the unknown dealy caused in issuance of MR? Its been 4.5 months since PER and exactly 3 mths since 2nd line update. So much so, no verification has happened. Is there any problem in my file. My consultant says it can take upto 2-6 mths to get MR. I will be entering 6th month on 1st march.

Raise a CSE and order GCMS notes. this will let you know the status of your application.

In my opinion, they would have quoted you your VO basis therr SOP which identifed which VO work's on which region. If they say early to receive PER then, that' what it may be.

What do you see when you click on "In process"?
UCI showing in process is certainly a positive. Try checking you entire mailbox including spam and junk for gc.ca domain emails.
Also check you application kit and see that mail id you shared is correct.
Finally, as you have the UCI and VO, raise a CSE and enquire.

Just for curiosity sake, what if someone finds that the email provided in the form is incorrect ! Is there a way to have it corrected at cic level? been using ovi mail and yahoo has recently announced to discontinue ovi support, thus email with ovi.com domain will no longer be active after March 8. BTW, am charged on 13 Feb and if PER does not find its way to the mailbox latest by March 8, will no longer be able to get it, I guess ! not called cic yet for the UCI. Suggestions please - thanks.

It's all the same. As long as you are a permanent resident,you can go through the same process. Your proof of permanent resident status is your COPR.
If you are not sure of this fact,you can send a mail to your country's Canadian High Commission.

If a email bounce back is received by CIC, they will trigger the communication on your provided postal address.
Once you have UCI and or File number, you can raise a CSE to your Visa office request for an update on your email address.
CIC is out of the picture post PER. They trnsfer the file to your VO for processing hence I dont think you can get the amends done at CIC level.

Try your home VO in case VO has not been assigned yet by way of AOR.

Im planning to do my medicals this saturday from Fortis Hospital, Bangalore.
1) Would anyone be able to suggest a Doctor.
2) Is Fortis E-enabled?
3) Its mentioned that if the hospital is E-enabled, then not necessary to take photos? How true is this?

I got my medicals done in Fortis, Bangalore. Dont worry about selecting a doctor. They will assign the on-duty doctor to you when u report at the helpdesk. Yes, it is e-enabled. However, do carry photos. Also, the helpdesk guys will take your pics at the end of all the tests.

It will be tricky and I dont see a way out.
- PR card takes 30-45 days for issuance.
- PR card's cant be shipped outside the country.
- There is no other way to enter the country back unless you are in a private vehicle, in which case COPR and landing papers suffice.

PR card's can be issued on urgent basis, not sure of the TAT, however they do not lay any guidelines for the reasons they accept. Hence they dont assure that they will process you request as a urgent one.

It's best that you work out on your stay such that you leave post you have your PR card.

Absolutely correct Deltario, except that in case a person is flying back to Canada, he can still reenter Canada by contacting VO in his home country and getting necessary paperwork done. It is tedious, but not impossible.

But yes, best avoided.

TAT for PR card cannot be reduced. It takes 3 to 6 weeks.

I concurr with Deviim cause i have done medical there and sent hard copies to NDVO and got the 3rd line update in 3days all the best.
