hi guys, just want to ask because i am planning to land first before my son..in canada's rule of citizenship, will i need to wait for my son to finish 3 years before we can apply for citizenship? thanks so much for your insights..

Citizenship is now 4 out of 6 years. Yes he would need to be in Canada for 4 years before applying.

I am an August 8th applicant and while I was trying to look at the NDVO workload here is my observation:

NDVO Stats from SS:

Out of 463 May applications

- 42 Entries have received visa so far
- 30 Entries have received PPR
- 232 Entries have completed medicals and are awaiting PPR
- 2 Entries have been called for interview
- 87 Entries depict processing has started/ Second Line Updated
- 72 Entries are waiting for a second line update

Out of 225 June applications

- NO Entries have received visa so far
- 1 Entry have received PPR
- 130 Entries have completed medicals and are awaiting PPR
- 1 Entry have been called for interview
- 35 Entries depict processing has started/ Second Line Updated
- 58 Entries are waiting for a second line update


Out of 168 July applications

- NO Entries have received visa so far
- No Entry have received PPR
- 78 Entries have completed medicals and are awaiting PPR
- 1 Entry have been called for interview
- 16 Entries depict processing has started/ Second Line Updated
- 73 Entries are waiting for a second line update

Out of 113 August applications

Hi... Did you get any email for rejection of your file? And from whr have you applied?

Actually I also called CIC to track for my file status and they told it got rejected bck ystrday as some doc was missing.. not sure what it can be cz I have posted everything what was asked for.. Need to have approximate idea that when i will be receiving my file bck..

I was not rejected. My application is in process.

Getting your file back could take a couple months or it could be quicker. I don't know why it would take so long, but if you are in India, lots of rejected applicants report it taking a month or more.

Highly unlikely. +252 is Somalia. Why not answer the call and see who's calling?

Those are most likely spam calls. They give u short rings and expect you to call back.
If u call, the call charges are exorbitant

urgent help needed !!!


23rd sep applicant noc 2131 charged 12 dec finally got email from cic and sadly its a ner .i got 62 points and 5 points for adaptability was not given reason for that was i failed to prove residency proof of my relative as i mistakenly sent the Canadian revenue letter which was of last year (11 jan 2013) that is more than 6 months from date of application rest everything was fine with my app .. so need seniors advice can anything be done now ?? can i appeal for this point by providing recent document.

Exact reason in email is as follows

You were assigned 0 adaptability points for being related to a person living in Canada. Adaptability points are assigned if the principal applicant, or accompanying spouse or common-law partner, has a relative who is 18 years of age or older as of the date of application and who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident residing in Canada. Section 14 of the document checklist in the application for permanent residence provides examples of documentation that may be provided to show proof of residency of a relative living in Canada. The evidence should show the relative's name and full address in Canada and must be less than 6 months old from the date of your application submission. The documentation you provided for your relative is an undated form letter with reference to the date April 30, 2013. Your application was received September 23, 2014. You have not provided sufficient documentation to satisfy me that your relative is residing in Canada. Therefore, I have assigned no adaptability points for a relative residing in Canada, in accordance with R83 of IRPA.

I'm very sorry to hear this. However it's very unlikely there is anything you can do about it. With all due respect, it is your responsibility to meet the documentation requirements and because you did not you were rejected. CIC is very strict about these things. You could always try, there is no harm in it, but realistically you should file for EE or some other method of immigrating. Good luck.

I have a question plz,
What is meant by online status " in process , ur application for permenant residence was received on ....."
This means that my application has passed the eligibility check and PER on the way or not yet ?!!!!

If that's your status then PER is on the way.

Thanks mate! I could obtain the UCI number from call center yesterday and when I checked the status online, it says the application is in progress. Also, it my application was received on August 20th.

Can you please advise if calling call center or any other means would provide a better status details.

Hi Friends,

After many attempts, I could get the PER mail by calling the call center. It looks like the PER email was sent some time on December 11th which somehow didn't reach me. Yesterday after contacting CIC call center they helped me resending the PER email. Looks like the file was sent to Delhi office on December 17th however, I didn't get any further action on it from visa office so far. Can you please advise on what should I do in this regard. Here are the details of my application processing.

Application Received - August 20, 2014
CC Charged - November 11, 2014
PER Email First Sent - December 11, 2014
File Transferred to Delhi visa office - December 17, 2014

Do you think I am still in game despite the delays in subsequent processing.

Hey Everyone.
With a sad heart, I am informing you we didnt make it through the FSWP 2014. We got our application back today. The reason was our qualification of NOC 2132 didnt match what they were looking for. Thanks everyone over here for all their effort. I had some sincere members help me at various different time zones. I will be bothering you all once more for the express entry program.

hello ... I called CIC , regarding status of my application. the agent says there is no information of my file in the database.
is it normal? my app. recieved date was 24 oct.. noc 4011.. HELP!!!

Wait for a weeks time.. My file received date was Oct 16 in 2171 NOC.. which they could track and has been rejected bck on Feb 11, 2014.. You will get to know abt the status sooon...
