No brother, I have not yet done it. My sister is living in Toronto. So a major issue on housing is solved temporarily. Planning to land end of May. Just trying to explore education as well as employment opportunity there. I am vey much interested to do CPA at Canada. Sent my transcript for assessment to CPAOntario - found it is free. It will take around 1 month to get response. Let's see what happens. Please pray for me.
Thanks for following up Brother. You will find Toronto to your liking in late Spring. In my opinion, Canadian education is a must if you aim high career-wise, so do explore the CPA programs. Fingers crossed for your success and hope you don't leave this thread soon.

Does cic reply with name, app receipt date, passport numer, noc code?
My query had these only and no reply from 14 Nov.
New query i added DOB, but still no father name,...
Unfortunately bank can not tell dd encashment
Didn't try to get uci, but fswp2013 cap reached uci does not work.
Full name and DoB is compulsory. UCI help them finding it easily. So if you have missed the DoB, they may ask you to resend the request with DoB. Note that currently it is taking around 50-60 days to get response. I think you will get response in this week.

Guys I need serious help in clearing my interview that has been called for..

I have once again started collecting the supporting documents for my education, work ex, family background, etc.

But I am stuck while I see the kind of question being asked during interview..

For eg. Why you want to leave this country?, Why do you want to leave this job? What if you don't find the kind of job that you are doing here? Who will take care of your parents after you reach there?

All these questions are really making me nervous now and it is becoming very difficult for me to concentrate on daily routine.

My consultant is also back stabbing as it's been 3 days since I have received the interview mail and I am unable to meet him just because "he is way too busy".

Need serious help. Experienced applicants pls help..

Pankhil Singh
Dear singh,,

They won't ask u such questions ,, they want to clarify with ur education and work experience ,, it will be pretty much like hr round,, the only thing u need is confidence in ur eyes and throt ,,

yup that is what i asked what is that fixed period of time after which PR is revoked.. say i stay for 1 year out of 5 years would my PR be revoked
To keep your PR you should live in Canada for 2 years in 5 years... I am not sure if that 5 year is counted from the first landing day.. or from validity of PR Visa date or from expiry of PR Visa date.. But that's for sure that if you wont stay in Canada for 2 years in 5 years after getting the PR then your PR status will be lost and you again have to apply or will have to hire an attorney to show any valid reason why you did not stay.. and then rest depends upon their decision if they grant you new PR or extend your PR status and let you stay...

So, after getting the PR Visa you need to land before Visa expiry.. Please note that the stamped PR visa is a "SINGLE" entry visa and after landing you will get PR card (within 3 to 4 weeks of landing) which you can use for future entries... And to keep PR status you must enter Canada again after 2.5 to 3 years so that you should have next 2 to 2.5 years to keep your PR status... And last but not the least if you stay in Canada on PR for 3 years you can apply for citizenship which will be forever (I guess)...

New section 5(1)(c)(i) specifies that the total required number of days of physical presence in Canada is 1,460 in six years and new section 5(1)(c)(ii) requires a minimum of 183 days of physical presence per calendar year in four of the six years preceding the application for citizenship.

Reciprocated Dear. This won't affect your app's processing because after MR (which you are sure to get very soon) the VO basically sits on the file waiting for sec. and crim. checks to be completed by partner agencies. Meanwhile they put it away and process other apps in FIO-style 8). If info arrives from, say, RCMP (no traceable adverse found), they check the corresponding line. If not, they bring up the file at due date and set a new deadline for file review. As soon as all assessments are complete GCMS gets updated with RFV line (ready for visa) and you receive PPR and DM. The bottleneck that would be caused by EE will be clogged between second line and MR.
+1 Diplo, very good info indeed. BTW how do you know so much info, i start wondering at times if you had worked for CIC in the past. :)

Anyways, just want to share my bit of good news.
My ECAS is live today morning 12-01-2015.
I had called CIC on 20th Dec & got my UCI.
My app date is 09-10-2014. NOC:- 0113.
Got to know yesterday that my DD was encashed on Saturday.

Hi Diplomatru..

I had the information from this URL: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/become-eligibility.asp

Which says you need to live for 3 years in 4 years and you will be able to apply for Citizenship.. I am not sure about the new sections you have mentioned.. Can you please mention the URL which has the details that you have mentioned...

Congrats on your good news Bro. Wish you a smooth immigration ride onward.
I worked for the government of my home country for a certain period of time, hence I know a thing or two about bureaucracy in general. Everything else can be obtained by simply reading CIC bulletins (thanks to Access to Information Act or the Privacy Act).

It will become outdated on July, 2015 when Bill C-24 comes in effect.

Hi Gurus,

Just received mail from CIC(Hope this is the PER mail)

UCI: XXXXXXXX

Application: EXXXXX

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada in the Federal Skilled Worker class.

The Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism issued instructions which were published in the Canada Gazette on May 1, 2014. Only applicants who meet the criteria specified in these Ministerial Instructions are eligible to be processed in the Federal Skilled Worker class.

Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of work experience in an occupation specified in the Instructions issued by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on May 1, 2014. However a final decision on your eligibility to be selected as a federal skilled worker will be made by a visa office.

Applications previously destined for Abidjan, Ivory Coast will now be transferred to Dakar, Senegal. Your application therefore will be transferred to the visa office in Dakar.

Not sure why they have transferred to Dakar instead of New Delhi.........

Gurus please throw some light on this.........

Thanks
Murali
Yes This is your PER mail Murali.. Congrats Murali and +1 to you on your PER and for the information
