got the so-called PPR this afternoon.
actually, it's just a passport copy, photos and appendix A(personal info) request.
just for reference i will update it as PPR in SS.

Just returned from Goa. Checked my email and saw that CIC had replied to my query dated 1st Nov on 24th Dec. The email says that my application was recd by them on 20th Oct (though my courier tracking says that application was recd by DAN on 2nd Sept). The email further says that my application is under initial processing.

I had honestly lost all hope for PER, as there has been no status on my application, but looking at this email, I am really happy, though effectively, my application is delayed by around 48 days.

Will get back to the forum in 2-3 days time.

SUPER URGENT SENIORS PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I AM 6th NOVEMBER 2014 APPLICANT. I GOT A CALL FROM MY BANK TODAY TO TELL ME THAT MY CREDIT CARD (WHICH HAPPENS TO BE THE SAME CREDIT CARD I USED FOR THE FSW APPLICATION) IS BLOCKED DUE TO FRAUDULENT (theft) ACTIVITY. I expect that the CC WILL BE CHARGED ON FEBRYARY SINCE I AM 6th November applicant and i do NOT know what to do!!!!

CAN I INFORM CIC ABOUT THAT via an email AND SUPPLY THEM WITH A NEW CREDIT CARD VIA EMAIL ?
PLEASE BUDDIES ADVISE ME SOMETHING THAT HAS BEEN TRIED AND PROVEN TO WORK AS I WILL SCREW MY ONLY CHANCE OF GETTING THE PER if it does not work!!!!!!

No it does not if you are only asking for an update on your file, however, if you are sending an update to your case file, the additional documents you are sending if any may take some time for your VO to verify. But do try to limit the CSEs you raise as they seem to frown at applicants sending too much CSEs.

My second line is not updated yet. By when can i expect medical request from NDVO.
After how many days from second line updation one should expect medical request ?

Is the first column in the cap update are those whose applications have passed the MI review? I'm getting a lot of different answers but it doesn't make sense to me that CIO will go over your application for completeness check, then charge your credit card, then see if it's still eligible for processing and if not issue you an NER, return your application and then refund your CC.
Then again why accept a completed application, include it in the cap amount then find it ineligible for processing (let's say that the cap was reached in a certain occupation) and return someone else's application due to cap being filled when they need a certain amount of apps to be processed?

In the SS check the tab Average Processing Times. There you will find the info about average times between steps in the process.
